REGULATIONS
of the Kozatskyi Dvoboi World Championship
(adults, juniors, youth)
December 9-13, 2019

1. Aim and Objectives.
The Kozatskyi Dvoboi World Championship is held with the aim of:
- broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;
- popularization and further development of the sport “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” in Ukraine and the world;
- raising the qualification level of athletes and referees;
- military-patriotic and sports education of youth;
- raising the skill level of athletes;
- activation of training work in sports organizations;
- summarizing the results of work in sports organizations;
- awarding sporting titles in Kozatskyi Dvoboi according to the Unified Sports Classification of Ukraine.
2. Dates, venue and competition program.
The Kozatskyi Dvoboi World Championship is held according to the competition rules of the World Kozatskyi Dvoboi Federation (WCFF).
December 9 — day of arrival of teams;
December 10 — day of registration of participants:
14:00 – 18:00 team registration, weighing of participants, registration of judges (Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine, 61000);
18:00 – 19:00 — meeting of the credentials and medical commission (Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine, 61000);
19:00 – 20:00 — meeting of the Judges’ Panel, judges’ seminar (Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine, 61000);
20:00 – 21:00 — official draw of participants with team representatives (Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine, 61000).
December 11 — competition day:
07:00 – 08:30 — departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue — Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine, 61000;
08:30 – 09:00 — setting up of areas, equipment configuration and judges’ briefing;
09:00 — start of competitions;
09:00 – 14:00 — preliminary performances in all sections;
14:00 — official opening of the competitions;
14:30 – 20:00 — continuation of preliminary performances in all sections
December 12 — competition day:
07:00 – 08:30 — departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue — Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine, 61000;
08:30 – 09:00 — setting up of areas, equipment configuration and judges’ briefing;
09:00 — start of competitions;
09:00 – 17:00 — final bouts in all sections, awarding of competition winners.

3. Organization and management of the competitions.
The Kozatskyi Dvoboi World Championship is initiated by the World Kozatskyi Dvoboi Federation (hereinafter — WCFF) and the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation Kozatskyi Dvoboi” (hereinafter — USFKD). Direct conduct of the competitions is entrusted to the WCFF and the chief refereeing panel approved by the WCFF Presidium.
4. Preparation of sports facilities.
In accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural events”:
— preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;
— control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of holding competitions is exercised by the working commission established by the relevant regional administration.
The owner of a sports facility must, no less than 4 hours before the start of the competitions, submit an act to the working commission on the facility’s readiness to hold the competitions.
Failure to comply with the requirements provided for by this paragraph, which caused emergency circumstances during the competitions, entails liability.
5. Competition participants.
5.1. Athletes admitted to the Kozatskyi Dvoboi World Championship are athletes of national teams of countries, on the basis of preliminary applications submitted by December 4, 2019 to the WCFF (vladibor72@gmail.com).
5.2. Each team whose roster exceeds 10 athletes must include one referee at the expense of the sending organization.
5.3. All referees must have an accident insurance policy and a medical certificate.
5.4. Competitions are held in accordance with the current international Kozatskyi Dvoboi competition rules, approved by the WCFF and the Ministry.
5.5. All participants must have: passport, accident insurance policy; MS, MSMK, ZMSU holders must also have their certificates;
5.6. Competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories and divisions:
Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);
Tan dvoboi (technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);
Zabava 1 (limited dosed-contact hand-to-hand, analog of semi-contact);
Bornya 1 (limited light-contact hand-to-hand, analog of light-contact);
Bornya 2 (main light-contact hand-to-hand, analog of kick-light with low kicks and throws);
Borotba (analog of grappling)
Bornya 3 (free light-contact hand-to-hand, analog of MMA Light);
Herts 1 (main real-contact hand-to-hand, full-contact);
Herts 2 (main real-contact hand-to-hand, analog of K-1 with throws);
Herts 3 (free real-contact hand-to-hand, MMA).

6. Financial conditions for holding the competitions
Coverage of expenses for organizing and holding the competitions is provided from extra-budgetary contributions. Expenses for participation in the competitions are covered by the parties sending the athletes.
Entry charitable contribution for participants from Ukraine (USFKD members) — 500 UAH and 50% for the second division.

Cost of accommodation per person from 150 to 450 UAH per night. Please book accommodation in advance.
7. Awards.
Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings at the World Championship are awarded medals and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.
Teams that took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the team standings at the World Championship are awarded cups and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.
The team championship is determined by the sum of points scored in the above-mentioned types of competitions in the corresponding weight category.
8. Sports uniform and equipment.
Kozatskyi Dvoboi uniform — the sports uniform of participants must correspond to the traditional Kozatskyi Dvoboi uniform:
- sections “Zabava”, “Bornya 1”, “Herts 1” — sharovary, vyshyvanka or club T-shirt (in the “Herts 1” section men compete bare-torso).
- sections “Bornya 2”, “Bornya 3”, “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt (in the “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” sections men compete bare-torso).
Sports gear and protective equipment:
- sections “Zabava”, “Bornya 1”, “Herts 1” — mouthguard, groin cup in a jockstrap, hand wraps (“Herts 1” mandatory, “Zabava”, “Bornya 1” optional), gloves (under 9 years — 8 oz, older — 10 oz), foot pads with closed heel mandatory, shin guards and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
- Sections “Bornya 2”, “Bornya 3”, “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” — mouthguard, groin cup in a jockstrap, hand wraps optional, hand gloves — open, for MMA brand “maXmix” 6 oz, socks with protection for the top of the foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In the “Herts 3” section the helmet is optional;
- Gloves and helmet according to corner color.

- each team representative must submit to the credentials commission a personal application for the athletes taking part in the competitions, of the established form, with all items filled in, certified by structural subdivisions of regional departments of physical culture and sports, by structures managing the field of physical culture and sports in the respective countries, by federations representing the WCFF in the respective countries.
- personal applications from the sending organization must be certified by a physician of the physical culture and sports clinic or a medical institution of the respective country.
Passports, athletes’ classification books, and insurance policies are submitted to the competition’s credentials commission on the day of arrival.
