1. Aim and objectives.
The Championship of the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” — “COSSACK UNITY” is held with the following aims:
— popularization and further development of the sport “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” in Ukraine;
— raising the level of athletes and referees;
— further improvement of training and sports work in Children’s and Youth Sports Schools, Specialized Children’s and Youth Sports Schools, sports clubs and local sections;
— selection of promising athletes for forming the national team of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi to participate in the World Championship;
— awarding sporting titles in Kozatskyi Dvoboi according to the unified sports classification of Ukraine;
2. Dates, venue and competition program.
The International Festival of Martial Arts is held according to the competition rules of the World MMA Federation (WMMAF) and the World Kozatskyi Dvoboi Federation (WCFF) respectively.
October 16 — athletes’ registration day from 16:00 to 20:00 at the address: Lviv, 8 Kerchenska St., “Halychyna” Sports Palace.
Referees seminar — from 18:00 to 19:00; meeting of representatives and draw — from 18:00 to 19:00;
October 17 —
09:00 start of competitions, qualifying bouts in Kozatskyi Dvoboi;
14:00 qualifying bouts in MMA;
18:00 Official opening ceremony of the competitions.
October 18 —
09:00 final bouts in Kozatskyi Dvoboi, awarding of winners;
14:00 semifinal bouts in MMA;
19:00 gala program, MMA final bouts, awarding of winners

3. Organization and management of the competitions.
The Championship of the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” — “COSSACK UNITY” is conducted by: the World Kozatskyi Dvoboi Federation (hereinafter — WCFF) and the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation Kozatskyi Dvoboi”. Direct conduct of the competitions is entrusted to the WCFF and the chief refereeing panel approved by the WCFF Presidium.
4. Preparation of sports facilities.
In accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sporting and cultural events”:
• preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;
• control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of holding competitions is exercised by the working commission established by the relevant regional administration.
The owner of a sports facility must, no less than 4 hours before the start of the competitions, submit an act to the working commission on the facility’s readiness to hold the competitions.
Failure to comply with the requirements provided for by this paragraph, which caused emergency circumstances during the competitions, entails liability.
5. Competition participants.
Athletes admitted to the Championship of the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” — “COSSACK UNITY” are members of regional teams of Ukraine, formed based on the results of qualifying regional competitions, on the basis of preliminary applications submitted by October 10, 2014 to the WCFF (vladibor_@rambler.ru).
5.2. Each team whose roster exceeds 10 athletes must include one referee at the expense of the sending organization.
5.3. All referees must have an accident insurance policy and a medical certificate.
5.4. Competitions are held in accordance with the current international Kozatskyi Dvoboi competition rules approved by the Federation and the Ministry.
5.5. All participants must have: passport, accident insurance policy; MS, MSMK, ZMSU holders must have their certificates;
5.6. Competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories and divisions:
Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);
Tan dvoboi (technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);
Zabava 1 (limited dosed-contact hand-to-hand, analog of semi-contact);
Bornya 1 (limited light-contact hand-to-hand, analog of light-contact);
Bornya 2 (main light-contact hand-to-hand, analog of kick-light with low kicks and throws)
Herts 1 (main full-contact hand-to-hand);
Herts 2 (main hand-to-hand with real contact, analog of K-1 with throws);
Herts 1, Herts 2

6. Financial conditions for holding the competitions
Partial expenses for organizing and holding the competitions are covered by the charitable fund and other extra-budgetary contributions raised by the Federation, charitable donations, and entry fees from participants.
The entry fee from each participant is 150 UAH per division.
7. Awards
Athletes who took:
I places — are awarded medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
II — III places — are awarded medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
8. Sports uniform and equipment
Dress code — the participants’ sports uniform must correspond to the traditional Kozatskyi Dvoboi uniform (sharovary, vyshyvanka, or club T-shirt).
Sports gear and protective equipment — mouthguard, groin protector in a jockstrap, bandages, hand gloves (10 oz); for the Herts, Bornya 2 divisions — open mixed martial arts gloves (6 oz “maxmix”), foot guards, shin protection and helmet; for women and girls — chest protection.
9. Applications
Preliminary applications for team participation in the competitions are to be submitted by October 10, 2014 to the e-mail vladibor_@rambler.ru
• Each team representative must submit to the credentials committee a personal application for the athletes taking part in the competitions, of the established form, with all items filled in, certified by the structural subdivisions of the regional departments of physical culture and sports.
• Personal applications must be certified by the physician of the physical culture and sports clinic, and by the sending organization.
Passports, athletes’ classification books and insurance policies are submitted to the competition credentials committee on the day of arrival.
