European Championshipof Kozatskyi Dvoboi

(adults, juniors, cadets)

April 23-26, 2019

1. Goals and objectives.

The European Championship of Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held with the purpose of:

• broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;
• military-patriotic and sports education of youth;
• popularization and further development of the sport “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” in Ukraine and worldwide;
• raising the qualification level of athletes and referees;
• fulfillment of sports titles in Kozatskyi Dvoboi according to USCS.

2. Dates, venue and program of the competition.

The European Championship of Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held according to the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF).

April 22 – team arrival day;

April 23– participant registration day:

14:00 – 17:00 team registration, weigh-in of participants, referee registration (Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska Street, Kharkiv, Kharkiv Region, Ukraine, 61000);

17:00 – 19:00 – meeting of the credentials and medical commission (Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska Street, Kharkiv, Kharkiv Region, Ukraine, 61000);

18:00 – 20:00 – meeting of the Judging Committee, referee seminar (Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska Street, Kharkiv, Kharkiv Region, Ukraine, 61000);

20:00 – 21:00 – official draw of participants with team representatives (Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska Street, Kharkiv, Kharkiv Region, Ukraine, 61000).

April 24 – competition day:

07:00 – 08:30 – team departure from hotels to the competition venue – Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska Street, Kharkiv, Kharkiv Region, Ukraine, 61000;

08:30 – 09:00 – preparation of the platforms, equipment setup and referee meeting;

09:00 – start of the competition;

09:00 – 14:00 – preliminary fights in all divisions;

14:00 – official opening ceremony;

14:30 – 20:00 – continuation of preliminary fights in all divisions

April 25 – competition day:

07:00 – 08:30 – team departure from hotels to the competition venue (Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska Street, Kharkiv, Kharkiv Region, Ukraine, 61000);

08:30 – 09:00 – preparation of the platforms, equipment setup and referee meeting;

09:00 – start of the competition;

09:00 – 17:00 – final fights in all divisions, awards ceremony for the winners.

3. Organization and management of the competition.

The European Championship of Kozatskyi Dvoboi is initiated by the World Cossack Fight Federation (hereinafter – WCFF) and NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation ‘Kozatskyi Dvoboi’” (hereinafter – USFKD). The competition is conducted by the WCFF and the main judging committee approved by the WCFF Presidium.

4. Preparation of sports facilities.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”:

– the preparation of sports facilities rests with their owners;

– control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring safety during the competition is carried out by a working commission formed by the respective regional administration.

The owner of the sports facility, no later than 4 hours before the start of the competition, is obliged to submit an act to the working commission on the facility’s readiness for the competition.

Failure to comply with the requirements set out in this clause that have caused emergencies during the competition entails responsibility.

5. Competition participants.

5.1. National teams of countries are admitted to the European Championship of Kozatskyi Dvoboi based on previously submitted entries by April 17, 2019, to the WCFF address vladibor72@gmail.com, ploxix111@rambler.ru

5.2. Each team with more than 10 athletes must have one referee at the expense of the delegating organization.

5.3. All referees must have accident insurance and a medical certificate.

5.4. The competition is held according to the current international competition rules of Kozatskyi Dvoboi approved by the WCFF and the Ministry.

5.5. All participants must have: a passport, accident insurance, and MS, MSMK, ZMSU must also have certificates;

5.6. The competition is held in the following age groups, weight categories and divisions:

Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);

Tan-dvoboi (technical fights, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);

Zabava-1 (dosed-contact hand-to-hand combat, limited, equivalent to semi-contact);

Bornya-1 (light-contact hand-to-hand combat, limited, equivalent to light-contact);

Bornya-2 (light-contact hand-to-hand combat, main, equivalent to kick-light with low-kick and throws);

Bornya-3 (light-contact hand-to-hand combat, free, equivalent to MMA Light);

Borot’ba (equivalent to grappling)

Herts-1 (real-contact hand-to-hand combat, main, full-contact);

Herts-2 (real-contact hand-to-hand combat, main, equivalent to K-1 with throws);

Herts-3 (real-contact hand-to-hand combat, free, MMA).

Weight categories for the “Zabava”, “Bornya”, “Borot’ba” divisions

Weight categories for the “Herts-1” and “Herts-2” divisions

Weight categories for the “Herts-3” division (MMA)

Odnotan and Tan-dvoboi – according to age groups.

6. Financial conditions of the competition

Coverage of the costs of organizing and holding the competition is provided by non-budget revenues. Costs of participation in the competition are covered by the parties sending the athletes.

Charity starting fee 400 UAH (children, cadets, juniors), 500 UAH (adults). 50% for the second division.

7. Awards.

Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in individual standings at the European Championship are awarded medals and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

Teams that took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the team standings at the European Championship are awarded cups and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

The team championship is determined by the sum of points scored in the above-mentioned competitions in the corresponding weight category.

8. Sports uniform and equipment.

Uniform for Kozatskyi Dvoboi – the sports uniform of participants must correspond to the traditional uniform of Kozatskyi Dvoboi:

• · divisions “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Herts-1” – sharovary, vyshyvanka, or club t-shirt (in the “Herts-1” division men’s torso bare).
• · divisions “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” – MMA shorts, rashguard or t-shirt (in the “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” divisions men’s torso bare).

Sports equipment and gear:

• · divisions “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Herts-1” – mouthguard, groin guard in a strap, wraps (“Herts-1” mandatory, “Zabava”, “Bornya-1” optional), hand gloves (under 9 years – 8 oz, older – 10 oz), foot pads mandatory with closed heel, shin guard and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
• · Divisions “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” – mouthguard, groin guard in a strap, wraps optional, hand gloves – open, for MMA brand “maXmix” 6 oz (licensed by WCFF), socks with protection of the upper part of the foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In the “Herts-3” division helmet is optional.
• · Gloves and helmet according to corner color.

9. Entries

Preliminary entries for team participation in the competition are submitted by April 17, 2019 to the email vladibor72@gmail.com, ploxix111@rambler.ru

• each team representative must submit to the credentials commission a nominal entry for the athletes participating in the competition, of the established sample, with all items filled in,certified by the structural subdivisions of the regional departments of physical culture and sports, structures that manage in the field of physical culture and sports in the respective countries, federations-representatives of the WCFF in the respective countries.
• nominal entries from the delegating organization must be certified by a doctor of the sports-medicine dispensary or by a medical institution of the respective country.

Passports, qualification booklets of athletes, insurance policy are submitted to the credentials commission of the competition on the day of arrival.
