1. Objectives and Goals.
The Championship of the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Cossack Fight” — “COSSACK UNITY” is held with the aim of:
— promoting and further developing the sport of “Cossack Fight” in Ukraine;
— improving the level of athletes and referees;
— further improving educational and sports work in youth sports schools, sports clubs, and local sections;
— selecting promising athletes for forming the Ukrainian national team in Cossack Fight to participate in the World Championship;
— awarding sports titles in Cossack Fight in accordance with the unified sports classification of Ukraine;

2. Schedule, Venue and Competition Program.
The International Festival of Martial Arts is held in accordance with the rules of the World Federation of MMA (WMMAF) and the World Federation of Cossack Fight (WCFF) respectively.
October 16 – athlete registration day from 16:00 to 20:00 at: Lviv, Kerchenska Street, 8, “Halychyna” Sports Palace.
Referees’ seminar – from 18:00 to 19:00; representatives’ meeting and draw – from 18:00 to 19:00;
October 17 –
09:00 competitions begin, preliminary bouts in Cossack Fight;
14:00 preliminary bouts in MMA;
18:00 Solemn opening ceremony.
October 18 –
09:00 final bouts in Cossack Fight, awarding of winners;
14:00 MMA semi-final bouts;
19:00 gala program, final MMA bouts, awarding of winners

3. Organization and Management of Competitions.
The Championship of the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Cossack Fight” — “COSSACK UNITY” is conducted by: the World Federation of Cossack Fight (hereinafter – WFCF) and the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation ‘Cossack Fight’”. The direct conduct of competitions is entrusted to WFCF and the main refereeing board approved by the WFCF Presidium.

4. Preparation of Sports Facilities.
In accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural events”:
• preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;
• control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring safety during competitions is carried out by a working commission formed by the respective regional administration.

The owner of a sports facility must submit an act to the working commission no later than 4 hours before the start of competitions confirming the facility’s readiness.
Failure to comply with the requirements provided for in this section that caused extraordinary circumstances during the competitions entails liability.

5. Competition Participants.
The Championship of the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Cossack Fight” — “COSSACK UNITY” is open to athletes from the national teams of Ukrainian regions, formed based on the results of preliminary regional competitions, on the basis of previously submitted applications by October 10, 2014, to the address of WFCF (vladibor_@rambler.ru).

5.2. Each team with more than 10 athletes must have one referee at the expense of the sending organization.

5.3. All referees must have an accident insurance policy and a medical certificate.

5.4. Competitions are conducted in accordance with the current international rules of Cossack Fight, approved by the Federation and the Ministry.

5.5. All participants must have: a passport, accident insurance policy, MS, MSMC, ZMSU athletes must have their certificates;
5.6. Competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories and divisions:
Ohotan (freestyle and formal technical complexes);
Tan-duel (technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);
Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand combat with controlled touch limited, semi-contact analogue);
Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand combat with light touch limited, light-contact analogue);
Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand combat with light touch main, kick-light analogue with low-kicks and throws)
Gerts-1 (hand-to-hand combat with full contact main, full-contact);
Gerts-2 (hand-to-hand combat with full contact main, K-1 analogue with throws);

6. Financial Conditions of Competitions
Partial costs of organizing and conducting competitions are provided through charitable funds and other extra-budgetary sources attracted by the Federation, charitable contributions, and entry fees from participants.
Entry fee from each participant is 150 UAH per division.

7. Awards
Athletes who placed:
1st place — are awarded medals and diplomas of respective degrees.
2nd — 3rd place — are awarded medals and diplomas of respective degrees.

8. Sports Attire and Equipment
Attire – the sports clothing of participants must correspond to the traditional Cossack Fight uniform (sharovary, embroidered shirt, or club t-shirt).
Sports equipment and protective gear – mouthguard, groin shell in bandage, hand wraps, boxing gloves (10 oz), for Gerts and Bornya-2 divisions open-hand gloves for mixed martial arts (6 oz “maxmix”), shin guards, shin and head protection, for women and girls chest protection.

9. Entries
Preliminary entries for teams to compete must be submitted by October 10, 2014 to the email vladibor_@rambler.ru
• Each team representative must submit to the credentials commission a full athlete roster of those participating in the competition, in the established format, completed in all sections, certified by the structural divisions of regional departments of physical culture and sports.
• Athlete rosters must be certified by a physician from a sports medicine clinic and the sending organization.
Passports, classification books of athletes, and insurance policies are submitted to the competition credentials commission on the day of arrival.
