World Cup of Nations in Martial Arts

October 10-14 in Yalta will host the traditional World Cup of Nations in Martial Arts. The competition programme includes the following martial arts: kickboxing, combat sambo, Thai boxing, kung fu, combat Jiu-Jitsu, shotokan karate and of course MMA. We present to your attention the regulations for mixed martial arts MMA
1. Objectives and Tasks.
• Development and promotion of martial arts in Ukraine and the World
• Promotion of a healthy lifestyle under the motto “Peace for the World’s Children – A World Without Drugs”
• Improvement of athletes’ skill level;
• Development and strengthening of friendly relations between sports organizations of all countries of the World;

2. Schedule and Venue.
Competitions are held from October 10 to 14, 2013 in the city of Yalta, Inturist Hotel (Ukraine, Crimean Autonomous Republic)
October 10 – arrival day, registration and weigh-in of athletes from 11:00 to 18:00 at the address: Yalta, Drazhinskogo St., 50
Referees’ Seminar
Meeting of representatives and draw
October 11
10:00 – qualifying bouts;
16:00 – official opening;
October 12
10:00 – semifinal bouts;
October 13
10:00 – final bouts, award ceremony;
October 14 – team departure.

3. Competition Management.
Overall responsibility for organizing the competition is undertaken by the MMA Federation of Ukraine. Direct conduct of the tournament is delegated to the chief referee panel and competition organizing committee.

4. Competition Rules and Referee Panel.
Competitions are conducted in accordance with current international MMA rules. The referee panel is formed from judges recommended by participating teams. All referees must attend a seminar on October 10 and based on its results will be permitted to work in the competitions.

5. Competition Programme and Participants.
Teams from regions, cities and clubs of Ukraine, CIS countries and the World are admitted to the competitions.

6. Competition Financing.
All expenses related to conducting the competitions are covered by the organizers and charitable entry fees (entry fee equivalent to 40 euros).
Expenses related to travel, accommodation and meals of participants, coaches and referees are borne by the sending organizations.

7. Awarding of Participants.
Athletes in 1st place are awarded diplomas and medals. Athletes in 2nd place are awarded diplomas and medals, 3rd place – diplomas and medals.
The best athletes of the competition will be awarded valuable prizes.
The winning team is awarded the cup.

8. Entries.
Competition participants must have identification documents, fighter’s passport, insurance policy, named entries signed by a doctor of a medical and physical culture dispensary, certified with seals, which are submitted to the credentials commission on the day of arrival.
