Cup of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi
(adults, juniors, youth, children)

1. Purpose and Objectives.
The Cup of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held with the purpose of:
– popularization and further development of the sport “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” in Ukraine;
– promotion of a healthy lifestyle;
– support of military-patriotic education of youth;
– raising the level of athletes and judges;
– further improvement of educational and sports work in youth sports schools, specialized youth sports schools, sports clubs and sections at the place of residence;
– selection of promising athletes to form the national team of Ukraine for participation in the European Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi (Kyiv, 17-20 April 2015);
– award of sports titles in Kozatskyi Dvoboi according to the unified sports classification of Ukraine;
2. Date, Venue and Programme of the Competitions
The Cup of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held according to the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF).
13 March – day of arrival and registration, drawing of lots for participants in the divisions “Zabava”, “Bornya”, “Herts 1”, “Herts 2”, “Odnotan”, “Tan dvoboi” from 10.00 to 17.00 at the address: Dnipro, Internatsionalistiv Str. 7 (Youth Sports School No. 1).
Judges’ seminar – from 17.00 to 18.00; meeting of representatives and drawing of lots – from 18.00 to 19.00;
14 March –
10:00 solemn opening, start of competitions, qualifying bouts;
11:00 registration, drawing of lots for participants in the divisions “Bornya 3” (MMA-light junior), “Herts 3” (MMA).
15:00 Final bouts in the divisions “Zabava”, “Bornya”, “Herts 1”, “Herts 2”, “Odnotan”, “Tan dvoboi”, awarding of prize winners and champions;
15 March –
10:00start of competitions, qualifying bouts in the divisions“Bornya 3” (MMA-light junior), “Herts 3” (MMA);
15:00 Final bouts, awarding of prize winners and champions;
16 March – departure of teams.
3. Organization and Management of the Competitions.
The Cup of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is conducted by: NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation of Kozatskyi Dvoboi” (hereinafter USFKB) and “Dnipropetrovsk Regional Sports Federation of Kozatskyi Dvoboi” (hereinafter DRSFKB). The direct conduct of the competitions is entrusted to the organizing committee and the main judges’ panel approved by the Presidium of USFKB.
4. Preparation of Sports Facilities.
In accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of 18 December 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”:
¨ preparation of sports facilities is entrusted to their owners;
¨ control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of the competitions is carried out by a working commission established by the respective regional administration.
The owner of a sports facility, no less than 4 hours before the start of the competition, must submit an act to the working commission on the readiness of the facility for holding the competition.
Failure to comply with the requirements stipulated by this clause, which caused emergency circumstances during the competition, entails liability.
5. Competition Participants.
5.1. Athletes — teams of clubs and sections of the regions of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv, formed based on the results of qualifying regional competitions, on the basis of preliminary applications submitted by 10 March 2015 to the address of DRSFKB (kostim1978@mail.ru), are admitted to the Cup of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi.
5.2. Each team whose composition exceeds 10 athletes is obliged to have one judge at the expense of the sending organization.
5.3. All judges must have an accident insurance policy and a medical certificate.
5.4. The competitions are held according to the current international competition rules of Kozatskyi Dvoboi (WCFF), approved by the Federation and the Ministry.
5.5. All participants must have: a passport, an accident insurance policy, MS, MSMK, ZMSU must have IDs;
5.6. The competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories and divisions:
Odnotan(free and formal technical sets);
Tan dvoboi(technical bouts, demonstration of self-defence techniques, self-defence);
Zabava 1(hand-to-hand with dosed touch, limited, analogue of semi-contact);
Bornya 1(hand-to-hand with light touch, limited, analogue of light-contact);
Bornya 2 (hand-to-hand with light touch, basic, analogue of kick-light with lowkick and throws)
Herts 1 (hand-to-hand with real touch, basic, full-contact);
Herts 2 (hand-to-hand with real touch, basic, analogue of K-1 with throws);
Herts 3 (hand-to-hand with real touch, free, analogue of MMA, mix-fight), only adult men and women.

6. Financial Conditions of the Competitions
Partial costs of organizing and holding the competitions are envisaged from funds raised by the Federation, off-budget revenues and charitable contributions. Charitable starting fee – 150 UAH per division.
7. Awards
Athletes who took:
I place – are awarded with medals and diplomas of the respective degrees.
II – III place – are awarded with medals and diplomas of the respective degrees.
8. Sports Uniform and Equipment
Dress code – the sports uniform of the participants must correspond to the traditional uniform of Kozatskyi Dvoboi.
Sports equipment and protective gear – mouthguard, groin protector in bandage, hand wraps, boxing gloves (10 ounces), for the divisions Herts 2-3, Bornya 2-3 – open gloves for mixed martial arts (6 ounces “maxmix”), foot pads, shin protection and helmet, for women and girls – chest protector.
9. Applications
Preliminary applications for team participation in the competitions are submitted by 10 March 2015 to the e-mail address kostim1978@mail.ru
- Each team representative must submit to the mandate commission a named application for the athletes participating in the competitions, of the established form, with all items filled in, certified by the structural divisions of regional administrations of physical culture and sports.
- Named applications must be certified by a doctor of a physical-culture-sports dispensary and by the sending organization.
Passports, classification books of athletes, insurance policy are submitted to the mandate commission of the competitions on the day of arrival.
