Ukraine Cup in Cossack Fight
(adults, juniors, youth, children)

1. Goals and Objectives.
The Ukraine Cup in Cossack Fight is conducted with the aim of:
– promoting and further developing the sport of “Cossack Fight” in Ukraine;
– promoting a healthy lifestyle;
– supporting military-patriotic education of youth;
– improving the level of athletes and referees;
– further improving educational and sports work in youth sports schools, specialized youth sports schools, sports clubs, and sections in local communities;
– selecting promising athletes for forming the Ukraine national team for participation in the European Championship in Cossack Fight (Kyiv, April 17-20, 2015);
– achieving sports titles in Cossack Fight according to the unified sports classification of Ukraine;
2. Schedule, Place of Competition and Program.
The Ukraine Cup in Cossack Fight is conducted according to the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF)
13 March – day of arrival and registration, drawing of participants in the sections “Zabava”, “Bornya”, “Gerts-1”, “Gerts-2”, “Odnotan”, “Tan dvoboy” from 10.00 to 17.00 at the address: Dniprodzerzhynsk, Internationalists St., 7 (Youth Sports School No. 1)
Referees’ seminar – from 17.00 to 18.00; representatives’ meeting and drawing – from 18.00 to 19.00;
14 March –
10:00 ceremonial opening, competition start, preliminary fights;
11:00 registration, drawing of participants in the sections “Bornya-3” (MMA-light junior), “Gerts-3” (MMA).
15:00 Final fights in the sections “Zabava”, “Bornya”, “Gerts-1”, “Gerts-2”, “Odnotan”, “Tan dvoboy”, awarding of medalists and winners;
15 March –
10:00competition start, preliminary fights in the sections“Bornya-3” (MMA-light junior), “Gerts-3” (MMA);
15:00 Final fights, awarding of medalists and winners;
16 March – departure of teams.
3. Organization and Management of Competition
The organization of the Ukraine Cup in Cossack Fight is carried out by: the Public Organization “Ukrainian Sports Federation ‘Cossack Fight’” (hereinafter USFDCF) and the “Dnipropetrovsk Regional Sports Federation ‘Cossack Fight’” (hereinafter DRSDCF). The direct conduct of competitions is the responsibility of the organizing committee and the main judging panel, approved by the USFDCF Presidency.
4. Preparation of Sports Facilities
In accordance with the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the Procedure for Preparing Sports Facilities and Other Specially Designated Places for Holding Mass Sports and Cultural Events”:
¨ preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;
¨ supervision of the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring safety during competitions is carried out by a working commission established by the respective regional administration.
The owner of a sports facility must submit a report to the working commission no later than 4 hours before the start of competitions confirming the readiness of the facility for conducting competitions.
Failure to comply with the requirements of this clause, which became the cause of extraordinary circumstances during competitions, entails liability.
5. Competition Participants
5.1. The Ukraine Cup in Cossack Fight is open to athletes from clubs and sections in the regions of Ukraine and Kyiv, formed based on the results of preliminary regional competitions, on the basis of previously submitted applications by 10 March 2015 to DRSDCF (kostim1978@mail.ru).
5.2. Each team with a composition exceeding 10 athletes must have one referee at the expense of the sending organization.
5.3. All referees must have accident insurance and a medical certificate.
5.4. Competitions are conducted according to the current international rules of Cossack Fight (WCFF), approved by the Federation and the Ministry.
5.5. All participants must have: passport, accident insurance, Masters of Sport (MS), International Masters of Sport (IMSS), Honored Masters of Sport of Ukraine (HMSSU) must have certificates;
5.6. Competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories and sections:
Odnotan(free and formal technical complexes);
Tan dvoboy(technical fights, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);
Zabava-1(unarmed combat with controlled light contact limited, semi-contact analog);
Bornya-1(unarmed combat with light contact limited, light-contact analog);
Bornya-2 (unarmed combat with light contact main, kick-light with low kick and throws analog)
Gerts-1 (unarmed combat with full contact main, full-contact);
Gerts-2 (unarmed combat with full contact main, K-1 analog with throws);
Gerts-3 (unarmed combat with full contact free, MMA analog, mixed-fight), adults only (men and women).

6. Financial Terms of Competition
Partial expenses for organizing and conducting the competition are covered by funds raised by the Federation, off-budget revenues, and charitable contributions. Charitable entry fee – 150 UAH per section.
7. Awards
Athletes who placed:
1st place – are awarded medals and diplomas of appropriate degrees.
2nd – 3rd place – are awarded medals and diplomas of appropriate degrees.
8. Sports Uniform and Equipment
Clothing – the sports uniform of participants must correspond to the traditional uniform of Cossack Fight.
Sports equipment and protective gear – mouthguard, groin protector in a protective cup, hand wraps, boxing gloves for hands (10 oz), for sections Gerts-2,3, Bornya-2,3 open-hand gloves for mixed martial arts (6 oz “maxmix”), feet protectors, shin and head protection, for women and girls chest protection.
9. Applications
Preliminary applications for team participation in competitions are due by 10 March 2015 to the email address kostim1978@mail.ru
- Each team representative must submit to the credentials commission an official roster of athletes participating in the competition in the approved format, with all items filled in, certified by structural divisions of regional physical culture and sports departments.
- Official rosters must be certified by a physician from a sports medicine dispensary and by the sending organization.
Passports, athlete classification books, accident insurance are submitted to the credentials commission on the day of arrival.
