Report on the International MMA tournament “MAXMIX-2”

Venue: Ukraine, Kyiv, Kontraktova Square;

Date: September 28, 2013.

The tournament was sanctioned by the following international organizations: World MMA Federation (WMMAF) and World Federation of Kozatskyi Dvoboi (WCFF). The tournament was organized and held by the Ukrainian Sports Federation of Kozatskyi Dvoboi together with the MMA Federation of Ukraine. The tournament was held as part of the charity event “UKRAINE WITHOUT CHILDHOOD DISEASES” organized by the Mykola Pasalskyi Charity Foundation, with the support of the Head of the Kyiv City State Administration – Oleksandr Pavlovych Popov, and the Head of the Podilskyi District State Administration in the city of Kyiv – Serhii Ivanovych Krushanovskyi.

The International MMA tournament “MAXMIX-2” was held in two weight categories: up to 77 and up to 84 kilograms.

Tournament participants:

Up to 77 kg.

  1. Yurii Sherstiuk (Ukraine, Boryspil, SC “Ratoborets”) – Champion of Ukraine in Horting (2011), Champion of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi (2012), World Champion in Taekwon-do GTF (2013);
  2. Roman Klymenko (Ukraine, Uman, SC “Kozak”) – medalist of the Ukrainian Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi, medalist of the World Cup in Kozatskyi Dvoboi (2013);
  3. Volodymyr Ostroukhov (Ukraine, Dnipropetrovsk, SC “Herts”) – Champion of Ukraine in Kickboxing;
  4. Oleksandr Kyrei (Ukraine, Kyiv, SC “Octagon”) – medalist of the Ukrainian Championship in Combat Sambo, MSU

Up to 84 kg.

  1. Maksym Serheiev (Ukraine, Kremenchuk) – medalist of Ukraine in Judo, medalist of the Ukrainian Cup in Kozatskyi Dvoboi;
  2. Dmytro Koshovyi (Ukraine, Uman, SC “Kozak”) – medalist of the Ukrainian Cup in Oriental, medalist of the Ukrainian Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi;
  3. Aleksei Repalov (Belarus, Babruysk) – multiple winner of Belarusian MMA championships “BFC”, winner of the international MMA tournament “Hanza Fight”;
  4. Mykola Mashchenko (Ukraine, Kyiv, SC “Octagon”) – medalist of the Ukrainian Championship in Combat Sambo, medalist of the Ukrainian Championship in Grappling, MSU.

Fight results:

1st semifinal bout up to 77 kg.

Yurii Sherstiuk – Roman Klymenko

The winner was Yurii Sherstiuk, at the 1st minute 21st second of the first round, by triangle choke submission.

2nd semifinal bout up to 77 kg.

Volodymyr Ostroukhov – Oleksandr Kyrei

The winner was Volodymyr Ostroukhov, at the 4th minute 31st second of the first round, by leg lock submission.

Final bout up to 77 kg.

Yurii Sherstiuk – Volodymyr Ostroukhov

The winner was Yurii Sherstiuk, at the 2nd minute 55th second of the first round, by choke submission.

1st semifinal bout up to 84 kg.

Maksym Serheiev – Dmytro Koshovyi

The winner was Maksym Serheiev at the 42nd second of the first round, by technical knockout TKO (punch to the head)

2nd semifinal bout up to 84 kg.

Aleksei Repalov – Mykola Mashchenko

The winner was Aleksei Repalov at the 36th second of the first round, by technical knockout TKO (punch to the head)

Final bout up to 84 kg.

Maksym Serheiev – Aleksei Repalov

The winner was Aleksei Repalov at the 40th second of the first round, by leg lock submission.
