1. Goals and Objectives.
The Open Cup of Kharkiv Oblast in Kozatskyi Dvoboi
is held for the purpose of:
– popularizing and further developing the sport of Kozatskyi Dvoboi in Ukraine;
– promotion of a healthy lifestyle;
– support of the military-patriotic education of youth;
– raising the level of athletes and judges;
– further improvement of training and sports work in youth sports schools, specialized youth sports schools, sports clubs and sections at the place of residence;
– selection of promising athletes for the formation of the Kharkiv Oblast team to take part in the Cup of Ukraine;
– fulfillment of sports titles in Kozatskyi Dvoboi according to the unified sports classification of Ukraine;
2. Date, venue and competition program.
The Open Cup of Kharkiv Oblast in Kozatskyi Dvoboi
is held under the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF)
21 February – day of registration, draw;
22 February Kharkiv, 246-B Moskovskyi Ave.
9:00 re-weighing of adult athletes;
10:00 official opening, beginning of the competition, qualifying bouts;
15:00final bouts, awards ceremony.
3. Organization and management of the competition.
The Open Cup of Kharkiv Oblast in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held by: the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation of Kozatskyi Dvoboi” (hereinafter USFKD) and the “Kharkiv Oblast Sports Federation of Kozatskyi Dvoboi”. The direct conduct of the competition is entrusted to the “Kharkiv Oblast Sports Federation of Kozatskyi Dvoboi” and the head referee panel approved by the Presidium of USFKD.
4. Preparation of sports facilities.
In accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of 18 December 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”:
¨ preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;
¨ control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of the competition is carried out by the working commission set up by the relevant regional administration.
The owner of the sports facility, no later than 4 hours before the start of the competition, is obliged to submit a certificate of facility readiness to the working commission.
Failure to comply with the requirements of this clause that has caused emergency circumstances during the competition entails liability.
5. Competition participants.
5.1. Athletes of teams from Kharkiv and Kharkiv Oblast, club and section teams from oblasts of Ukraine, formed on the basis of regional qualifying competitions, are admitted to the Open Cup of Kharkiv Oblast in Kozatskyi Dvoboi on the basis of preliminary applications submitted by 17 February 2015 to the address of the “Kharkiv Oblast Sports Federation of Kozatskyi Dvoboi” (ploxix111@rambler.ru).
5.2. Each team of more than 10 athletes must have one referee at the expense of the sending organization.
5.3. All referees must have accident insurance and a medical certificate.
5.4. The competition is held in accordance with the current international competition rules of Kozatskyi Dvoboi approved by the Federation and the Ministry.
5.5. All participants must have: a passport, accident insurance; Masters of Sport, International Masters of Sport, Honored Masters of Sport of Ukraine must have certificates;
5.6. The competition is held in the following age groups, weight categories and divisions:
Odnotan(free and formal technical complexes);
Tan dvoboi(technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques, selfdefense);
Zabava-1(hand-to-hand combat with dosed contact, limited, analog of semi-contact);
Bornya-1(hand-to-hand combat with light contact, limited, analog of light-contact);
Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand combat with light contact, basic, analog of kick-light with low kicks and throws)
Herts-1 (hand-to-hand combat with real contact, basic, full-contact);
Herts-2 (hand-to-hand combat with real contact, basic, analog of K-1 with throws);
Herts-3 (hand-to-hand combat with real contact, free, analog of MMA, mixed fight), adult men and women only.

6. Financial conditions of the competition
Partial expenses for the organization and conduct of the competition are covered by funds raised by the Federation, extra-budgetary income and charitable contributions. Charitable entry fee – UAH 80 per division.
7. Awards
Athletes who took:
I place – are awarded with medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
II – III places – are awarded with medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
8. Sports uniform and equipment
Dress code – the participants’ sports uniform must correspond to the traditional uniform of Kozatskyi Dvoboi, or one of the most well-known martial arts disciplines (karate, kickboxing, taekwondo, kung fu, etc.).
Sports gear and protective equipment – mouthguard, groin cup in a bandage, hand wraps, hand gloves (10 oz), for the Herts and Bornya-2 divisions open MMA gloves (6 oz “maxmix”), foot guards, shin guards and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
9. Applications
Preliminary applications for the participation of teams in the competition are submitted by 17 February 2015 to the email ploxix111@rambler.ru
- Each team representative must submit to the credentials commission a name list of the athletes participating in the competition, in the established form, with all items filled in, certified by the structural units of the regional departments of physical culture and sport.
- Name applications must be certified by a doctor of the sports medical dispensary and by the sending organization.
Passports, athletes’ classification books, and insurance policies are submitted to the credentials commission of the competition on the day of arrival.
