on the Open Championship of the city of Kryvyi Rih
among adults, youth, juniors, juveniles, and children in Kozatskyi Dvoboi
divisions (Bornya-2, Bornya-3, Herts-2, Herts-3)

- 1. Purpose and objectives
The competitions are classified as individual-team and are held with the following objectives:
1.1. Popularization and further development of Kozatskyi Dvoboi in the city, Dnipropetrovsk region, and Ukraine, and engaging the population in active sports activities.
1.2. Identification of the strongest athletes for forming the national team.
1.3. Fostering patriotism and improving the sporting mastery of athletes.
2. Dates and venue
The Open Championship of the city of Kryvyi Rih in Kozatskyi Dvoboiis held on November 19, 2016 in the city of Kryvyi Rih at 57 Vatutina Street.
November 19– day of athlete registration from 09:00 to 10:00 at the address: Kryvyi Rih, 57 Vatutina Street. KPNZ MPDYUT “Horytsvit”, SP “Danko”
Referee seminar – from 10:00 to 10:30;
representatives meeting and draw – from 10:30 to 11:00;
11:00 – ceremonial opening, start of competitions, qualifying bouts; final bouts in Bornya-2, Bornya-3 (MMA), Herts-2, Herts-3 (MMA) divisions
3. Competition management
3.1. The overall management of the organization and conduct of the competitions is carried out by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” – a separate subdivision of the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation Kozatskyi Dvoboi”, the Department of Youth and Sports of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration
3.2. The direct conduct of the competitions is entrusted to the judging panel (chief referee – K.S. Tymchenko) and the organizing committee (I.V. Smaglii).
4. Participants of the competitions
4.1. Members of national teams of clubs, sports schools (DYuSSh), sports societies (FST) of Dnipropetrovsk region, regions of Ukraine, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol are admitted to the competitions.
4.2. The competitions are held in the following weight categories and divisions:
Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand combat with light touch, main mode,analog of kick-light with low-kick, throws, and holds.)
Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand combat with real touch, free mode, analog of MMA, mix-fight)
Herts-2 (hand-to-hand combat with real touch, main mode, analog of K-1);
Herts-3 (hand-to-hand combat with real touch, free mode, analog of MMA, mix-fight),
Herts-3 (MMA)

Age categories are assigned according to the full number of years of the athlete at the time of the competitions
4.3. Athletes who systematically train in sports sections (DYuSSh) and have appropriate training are admitted to participate in the competitions. Responsibility for the level of athletic preparation of participants lies with their coaches and team representatives.
4.4. Combat dress code according to the Competition Rules.
5. Awarding of participants.
Winners are awarded medals and diplomas.
6. Applications.
Applications in the established form -appendix №1, approved by the doctor of the physical-medical dispensary, are submitted to the credentials committee on the day of arrival. Each participant must have an insurance policy.
7. Sports equipment of participants.
Dress code – the sports uniform of participants must correspond to the traditional uniform of Kozatskyi Dvoboi, or one of the most famous martial arts disciplines (karate, kickboxing, taekwondo, kung fu, etc.). Sports equipment and protective gear – mouthguard, groin protector in a bandage, hand wraps, gloves (10 oz), for Herts-2 division open gloves for mixed martial arts (6 oz), foot pads, shin guards, and helmet, for women and girls breast protection.
8. Safety during competitions, organizational issues
8.1. Safety and preparation of venues is carried out in accordance with the Resolution of the CMU dated 18.12.1998 No. 2025 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”:
8.2. Preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners.
8.3. Control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of competitions is carried out by a working commission formed by the relevant regional (city) administrations.
8.4. The owner of the sports facility must, no less than 4 hours before the start of the competitions, submit to the working commission a certificate of its readiness to hold competitions.
8.5. Failure to comply with the requirements provided for in this paragraph, which caused the occurrence of emergency circumstances during the competitions, entails liability in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.
9. Medical support
In accordance with the “Regulations on the medical support of sports-mass events”, approved by the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 27.10.2008 No. 614, medical support of sports-mass events is carried out by the Ukrainian Center for Sports Medicine, regional and city sports dispensaries, centers regardless of their departmental subordination, departments of sports medicine of medical-prophylactic institutions of the general network. Qualified medical workers are involved in the medical support of the competitions. The presence of a sports medicine doctor is mandatory at competitions of all levels.
The competition doctor is part of the judging panel as a deputy chief referee. All their decisions within the limits of competence are mandatory for participants, judges, organizers of competitions. The doctor presents to the organizing committee or judging panel a plan for medical support of the competitions and a report at their conclusion.
