From February 21 to 23, 2014, Russia will host the International Forum of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
Venue: Moscow, building 40, I. Yarygin Sports Palace (Aviamotornaya metro station)
The tournament is organized by the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Federation of Russia (president O.N. Taktarov – UFC champion), the Oriental Federation of Russia (G.M. Cherkasov), and the Unifight Federation of Russia (S.P. Novikov – 2-time Olympic champion), with the support of the international organizations IOMAF, WMMAF, WKF, WCFF, WPFL.
On February 21 and 22, preliminary and semifinal MMA bouts will be held, where the strongest fighters from Russia, the CIS countries, and near and far abroad will compete in qualifying rounds. Opening – February 21 at 11:00. In our sport (“Kozatskyi Dvoboi”) this corresponds to the “Herts-3” division, and this event is the first in the 2014 calendar of events under our WCFF World Federation
The most successful fighters who reach the final will compete for the MMA Champion’s belt in eight weight categories (-57 kg, -61 kg, -66 kg, -71 kg, -77 kg, -84 kg, -93 kg, +93 kg) in the best bouts of the Gala Final on Defender of the Fatherland Day, February 23, starting at 17:00.
