on holding
the International Tournament of Kozatskyi Dvoboi “PRIDE-2016“
among children, juniors, youths and adults
Date: 18-19 February 2016.
Venue: Lutsk
1. Goals and Objectives:
The International Tournament of Kozatskyi Dvoboi “PRIDE – 2016” among children, youths, juniors and adults is held with the aim of:
– popularizing and further developing the sport of Kozatskyi Dvoboi in Volyn Oblast, in Ukraine and abroad;
– promoting the patriotic upbringing of youth;
– raising the level of athletes and judges;
– further improving training and sports work in sports clubs and sections at the place of residence;
– selecting promising athletes to form the Ukrainian national team in Kozatskyi Dvoboi for participation in international competitions;
2. Date, venue and competition program:
The International Tournament of Kozatskyi Dvoboi “PRIDE – 2016” among children, youths, juniors and adults is held under the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF). The competitions are held in an Olympic single-elimination format. By decision of the head referee panel, in individual weight categories with a small number of participants, the competition format may be changed to round-robin.

During the day – arrival of teams;
19:00-21:00 – Official weigh-in at:
Lutsk, 22 Shopena St. (VOLYN AGRO PROJECT – 1st floor: gym of the Herts school);
19 February:
07:30-09:00 – additional weigh-in of participants, meeting of representatives and draw at: Lutsk, 22 Shopena St. (VOLYN AGRO PROJECT – 1st floor: gym of the Herts school);
09:15 – centralized transfer of participants from the weigh-in to the venue of the competition (Lutsk, 1 Sukhomlynskoho St., PortCity shopping and entertainment centre)
09:45-10:15 – briefing of competition participants on safety rules and conduct in the shopping centre;
10:30-11:45 – preliminary bouts;
12:00-12:45 – official opening ceremony, demonstration performances;
13:00-18:00 – bouts;
18:15-19:00 – awarding of athletes in the 10-12 and 13-15 age groups,
demonstration performances;
19:30-21:30 – evening gala program of the finals in the 16-18 and over-19 age groups;
21:45 – closing of the competitions and departure of teams.
3. Organization and management of the competition:
The International Tournament of Kozatskyi Dvoboi “PRIDE – 2016” among children, youths, juniors and adults is conducted by: the World Cossack Fight Federation (hereinafter – WCFF), the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation of Kozatskyi Dvoboi” (hereinafter – USFKD) and the official representation of the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation of Kozatskyi Dvoboi” in Volyn Oblast – the Volyn Regional Martial Arts Club “Pride” (hereinafter – VRMAC “Pride”). The direct holding of the competitions is entrusted to VRMAC “Pride” and the head referee panel approved by the Presidium of WCFF.
4. Preparation of sports facilities:
In accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of 18 December 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”:
¨ preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;
¨ control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of the competitions is carried out by the working commission set up by the relevant regional administration.
The owner of the sports facility, no later than 4 hours before the start of the competition, is obliged to submit a certificate of facility readiness to the working commission. Failure to comply with the requirements of this clause that has caused emergency circumstances during the competition entails liability.
5. Competition participants.
5.1. Athletes of national, regional and club teams are admitted to the International Tournament of Kozatskyi Dvoboi “PRIDE – 2016” among children, youths, juniors and adults on the basis of preliminary applications submitted by 10 February 2016 to the email address of VRMAC “Pride” (sambo70kulakov@mail.ru).
5.2. Each team of more than 10 athletes must have one referee at the expense of the sending organization. 5.3. The competitions are held in accordance with the current international competition rules of Kozatskyi Dvoboi approved by WCFF and the Ministry. 5.4. All participants must have: a passport or a birth certificate, accident insurance and a doctor’s clearance. 5.5. The competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories and divisions:
KOZATSKYI DVOBOI
Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand combat with light contact, limited, analog of light-contact kickboxing) – among participants of the 10-12, 13-15 age groups;
Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand combat with light contact, basic, analog of kick-light with low kicks and throws) – among participants of 10-12, 13-15 years;
Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand combat with light contact, free, analog of MMA Light)– among participants of 16-18 years;
Herts-3 (hand-to-hand combat with real contact, free, MMA) – among participants over 19 years
Weight categories
Bornya 1, Bornya 2
Children (10-12 years) up to 35 kg, up to 40 kg, up to 45 kg, up to 50 kg, over 50 kg
Youths (13-15 years) up to 50 kg, up to 55 kg, up to 60 kg, up to 65 kg, over 65 kg
Bornya 3
Juniors (16-18 years) up to 60 kg, up to 65 kg, up to 70 kg, up to 75 kg, over 75 kg
Herts 3
Men (over 19 years) up to 60 kg, up to 65.8 kg, up to 70.3 kg, up to 77.1 kg, up to 84 kg, over 93 kg
6. Financial conditions of the competition
Expenses for the organization and conduct of the competitions are covered by a charitable foundation and other extra-budgetary income, charitable entry fees. Expenses for the travel of participants, coaches and team representatives (travel, meals, per diems, accommodation and preservation of wages) are covered by the sending organizations. Charitable entry fee for athletes of the 10-12, 13-15 age groups – UAH 80 (children and youths). For athletes of the 16-18 and over-19 age groups – UAH 100. Charitable entry fees should be transferred to the current account of the Volyn Regional Martial Arts Club (VRMAC) “Pride” No. 26008055509091, OKPO 40085493, MFO 303440 PRIVATBANK, or submitted during the weigh-in to the credentials commission.
7. Awards
The competitions are individual. Places in each age group and weight category are determined as follows:
1st place – the winner of the final;
2nd place – the loser in the final;
3rd place – goes to the two participants who lost in the semifinals.
Athletes of the 10-12, 13-15 and 16-18 age groups, who took:
I place — are awarded with prizes, medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
II — III places — are awarded with medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
Athletes of the over-19 age group, who took:
I places in the evening gala program of the finals – are awarded cash prizes, medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
II — III places — are awarded with medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
By decision of the head referee panel, individual athletes may be recognized for the best technical preparation and will to win.
8. Sports uniform and equipment
Dress code of Kozatskyi Dvoboi – the participants’ sports uniform must correspond to the traditional uniform of Kozatskyi Dvoboi (sharovary, vyshyvanka or shorts or trousers, club T-shirt).
Sports gear and protective equipment:
For participants of the Bornya-1 division: mouthguard, groin cup in a bandage, hand wraps (optional), hand gloves (boxing -10 oz), shin guards, helmet. For participants of the Bornya-2 division: mouthguard, groin cup in a bandage, hand wraps (optional), hand gloves (for hand-to-hand combat – at least 8 oz), shin guards, helmet.
For participants of the Bornya-3 division: mouthguard, groin cup in a bandage, hand wraps (optional), hand gloves (for hand-to-hand combat – at least 8 oz), shin guards (optional), helmet.
For participants of the Herts-3: division: mouthguard, groin cup in a bandage, hand wraps (optional), hand gloves (for MMA – at least 4 oz), shin guards (optional), helmet (optional), MMA shorts.
9. Applications
Preliminary applications for the participation of teams in the competitions are submitted by 10 February 2016 to the email (sambo70kulakov@mail.ru).
Each team representative must submit to the credentials commission a name list of athletes of the established form, certified by the head of the structural unit on physical culture and sport of the regional state administration and the head of the organization or regional branch. In addition, in the application, opposite each participant, there must be the signature of a sports dispensary doctor (certified by a seal) on admission to competitions, as well as the total number of participants admitted to competitions for health reasons, also certified by the signature and sealed by the doctor.
Passports (birth certificates), athletes’ classification books, and insurance policies are submitted to the credentials commission of the competition on the day of arrival.
