World Championship of Kozatskyi Dvoboi

1. Goals and Objectives.

The World Championship of Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held with the aim of:

– popularization and further development of the sport of Kozatskyi Dvoboi in Ukraine and the World;

– raising the level of athletes and judges;

– further improvement of training and sports work in youth sports schools, specialized youth sports schools, sports clubs and sections at the place of residence;

– selection of promising athletes for the formation of the Ukrainian national team in Kozatskyi Dvoboi for participation in international competitions;

– fulfillment of sports titles in Kozatskyi Dvoboi according to the unified sports classification of Ukraine;

2. Date, venue and competition program.

The World Championship of Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held under the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF).

14 December – day of arrival of teams;

15 December – day of registration of athletes from 11:00 to 18:00 at: Kharkiv, 2 Marshal Zhukov Ave.

Referee seminar – from 18:00 to 19:00; meeting of representatives and draw – from 20:00 to 21:00;

16 December –

10:00 – start of the competition, qualifying bouts;

17:00 – official opening ceremony of the competition, final bouts, awarding of winners;

17 December – Departure of teams

3. Organization and management of the competition.

The World Championship of Kozatskyi Dvoboi is conducted by: the World Cossack Fight Federation (hereinafter – WCFF) and the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation of Kozatskyi Dvoboi” (hereinafter – USFKD). The direct conduct of the competition is entrusted to WCFF and the head referee panel approved by the Presidium of WCFF.

4. Preparation of sports facilities.

In accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of 18 December 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”:

¨ preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;

¨ control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of the competition is carried out by the working commission set up by the relevant regional administration.

The owner of the sports facility, no later than 4 hours before the start of the competition, is obliged to submit a certificate of facility readiness to the working commission.

Failure to comply with the requirements of this clause that has caused emergency circumstances during the competition entails liability.

5. Competition participants.

Athletes from national teams are admitted to the World Championship of Kozatskyi Dvoboi on the basis of preliminary applications submitted by 10 December 2015 to the WCFF address (vladibor_@rambler.ru).

5.2. Each team of more than 10 athletes must have one referee at the expense of the sending organization.

5.3. All judges must have accident insurance and a medical certificate.

5.4. The competition is held in accordance with the current international competition rules of Kozatskyi Dvoboi approved by WCFF and the Ministry.

5.5. All participants must have: a passport, accident insurance; Masters of Sport, International Masters of Sport, Honored Masters of Sport of Ukraine must have certificates;

5.6. The competition is held in the following age groups, weight categories and divisions:

Tan dvoboi(technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques, selfdefense);

Zabava-1(hand-to-hand combat with dosed contact, limited, analog of semi-contact);

Bornya-1(hand-to-hand combat with light contact, limited, analog of light-contact);

Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand combat with light contact, basic, analog of kick-light with low kicks and throws)

Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand combat with light contact, free, analog of MMALight)

Herts-1 (hand-to-hand combat with real contact, basic, full-contact);

Herts-2 (hand-to-hand combat with real contact, basic, analog of K-1 with throws);

6. Financial conditions of the competition

Partial expenses for the organization and conduct of the competition are covered by a charitable foundation and other extra-budgetary income raised by the Federations and charitable entry fees.

Entry fee for USFKD athletes – UAH 250 (children and juniors), UAH 350 (adults)

7. Awards

Athletes who took:

I places – are awarded with medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.

II – III places – are awarded with medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.

8. Sports uniform and equipment

Dress code of Kozatskyi Dvoboi – the participants’ sports uniform must correspond to the traditional uniform of Kozatskyi Dvoboi (sharovary, vyshyvanka, or club T-shirt). In the Herts-3 division MMA shorts.

Sports gear and protective equipment – mouthguard, groin cup in a bandage, hand wraps, hand gloves (10 oz); for the Herts-2, 3, Bornya-2, 3 divisions open MMA gloves (6 oz “maxmix”), foot guards, shin guards and helmet; for women and girls chest protection. In the Herts-3 division helmet is optional.

9. Applications

Preliminary applications for the participation of teams in the competition are submitted by 10 December 2015 to the email vladibor_@rambler.ru

• Each team representative must submit to the credentials commission a name list of the athletes participating in the competition, in the established form, with all items filled in, certified by the structural units of the regional departments of physical culture and sport.
• Name applications must be certified by a doctor of the sports medical dispensary and by the sending organization.

Passports, athletes’ classification books, and insurance policies are submitted to the credentials commission of the competition on the day of arrival.
