2. Venue and competition program.
The European Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held according to the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF).
April 13 – day of teams’ arrival;
April 14 – day of athletes’ registration from 11:00 to 18:00 at the address: Kharkiv, Marshal Zhukov Ave., 2
Judges’ seminar – from 18:00 to 19:00; meeting of representatives and draw – from 20:00 to 21:00;
April 15 –
10:00 – start of the competitions, qualifying fights;
17:00 – Solemn opening ceremony of the competitions, final fights, awarding of winners;
18:00 – final fights in the “Herts 3” (MMA) division;
April 16 – Departure of teams
3. Organization and management of the competitions.
The European Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is organized by: the World Cossack Fight Federation (hereinafter – WCFF) and NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation ‘Kozatskyi Dvoboi’” (hereinafter – USFKD). The direct conduct of the competitions is the responsibility of the WCFF and the main panel of judges, approved by the WCFF Presidium.
4. Preparation of sports facilities.
In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for the preparation of sports facilities and other specially designated places for mass sports and cultural events”:
¨ preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;
¨ control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of the competitions is carried out by a working commission established by the relevant regional administration.
The owner of the sports facility, no less than 4 hours before the start of the competitions, is obliged to submit to the working commission an act on the readiness of the facility for the competition.
Failure to comply with the requirements provided in this paragraph, which caused the occurrence of emergency circumstances during the competitions, entails liability.
5. Competition participants.
Athletes of national teams of countries are admitted to the European Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi on the basis of preliminary applications submitted by April 10, 2016, to the address of WCFF (vladibor_@rambler.ru).
5.2. Each team whose composition exceeds 10 athletes must have one judge at the expense of the sending organization.
5.3. All judges must complete the judges’ seminar, have an accident insurance policy and a medical certificate.
5.4. The competitions are held in accordance with the current international competition rules of Kozatskyi Dvoboi, approved by the WCFF.
5.5. All participants must have: passport, accident insurance policy;
5.6. Competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories and divisions:

Odnotan(free and formal technical complexes);
Tan dvoboi(technical fights, demonstration of self-defense techniques, selfdefense);
Zabava 1(hand-to-hand with metered touch limited, analogous to semi-contact);
Bornya 1(hand-to-hand with light touch limited, analogous to light-contact);
Bornya 2 (hand-to-hand with light touch main, analogous to kick-light with low-kicks and throws)
Bornya 3 (hand-to-hand with light touch free, analogous to MMALight)
Herts 1 (hand-to-hand with real touch main, full-contact);
Herts 2 (hand-to-hand with real touch main, analogous to K-1 with throws, sanda);
Herts 3 (hand-to-hand with real touch free, MMA)
Herts 3 (MMA)

6. Financial conditions of the competitions
Partial costs for organizing and conducting the competitions are provided through a charitable fund and other extra-budgetary revenues raised by the Federations, charity entry fees.
Entry fee for USFKD athletes – 250 UAH (children and juniors), 350 UAH (adults)
7. Awards
Athletes who took:
I places – are awarded medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
II – III places – are awarded medals and diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
8. Sports uniform and equipment
Uniform for Kozatskyi Dvoboi – the participants’ sports uniform must correspond to the traditional Kozatskyi Dvoboi uniform (sharovary (Cossack trousers), vyshyvanka, or club T-shirt). In the Herts 3, Bornya 3 division – MMA shorts.
Sports equipment and gear – mouthguard, groin cup with bandage, hand wraps, hand gloves (10 ounces), for Herts 2, 3, Bornya 2, 3 divisions – open mixed martial arts gloves (6 ounces “maxmix”), foot protectors, shin protection and helmet, chest protection for women and girls. In the Herts 3 division, helmet is optional.
9. Applications
Preliminary applications for participation of teams in the competitions are submitted by April 10, 2016 to the email vladibor_@rambler.ru
- Each team representative must submit to the mandate commission a nominal application for athletes participating in the competitions, of the established form, with all items filled in, certified by structural divisions of regional offices of physical culture and sports.
- Nominal applications must be certified by a doctor, the sending organization.
Passports, athletes’ classification books, insurance policies are submitted to the mandate commission of the competitions on the day of arrival.
