On May 18, the All-Ukrainian tournament “Kozatska Zvytyaha” was held at the KPI sports complex (Kyiv). The main goal of the tournament was to select the strongest athletes for the national team of Ukraine in the Ukrainian national sport “Kozatskyi Dvoboi”, to participate in the World Cup in “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” and MMA, which will be held in Bulgaria (Varna) from June 25 to 30.
The tournament “Kozatska Zvytyaha” gathered 306 participants from Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odesa, Cherkasy, Rivne, Volyn, Ternopil, Lviv regions and the city of Kyiv. The tournament was held with the active support of the political party “Voice of the People” and it is very symbolic that in such a turbulent time for the country, the fighters of “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” demonstrated – Ukraine is a United Country, integral, strong and indestructible.
The tournament began at 10 a.m. with the opening ceremony. The athletes were greeted by the organizers of the tournament: the Head of the “Voice of the People” party – Roman Ivchenko and the President of the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Dvoboi”, Honored Coach of Ukraine – Volodymyr Radionov. The culmination of the competition was the evening program, which featured the final bouts in the “Herts-3” section (MMA). The tournament was held at a high organizational level, all adult winners, as well as the best athletes among children and juniors, received tickets to the World Cup in Bulgaria.
