of theEuropean Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi
(adults, juniors, youth)

1. Goal and Objectives.
The European Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held with the aim of:
– popularization and further development of the sport “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” in Ukraine and the World;
– raising the qualification level of athletes and judges.
2. Date, Venue, and Competition Program.
The European Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held according to the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF).
April 26 – day of arrival of teams;
April 27– registration day of participants:
14:00 – 17:00 registration of teams, weigh-in of participants, registration of judges (Kharkiv, Petra Hryhorenka Avenue, 2 – Kharkiv Sports Palace);
17:00 – 19:00 – meeting of the credentials and medical commission (Kharkiv, Petra Hryhorenka Avenue, 2 – Kharkiv Sports Palace);
19:00 – 20:00 – meeting of the Judging Panel, judges’ seminar (Kharkiv, Petra Hryhorenka Avenue, 2 – Kharkiv Sports Palace);
20:00 – 21:00 – official drawing of lots for participants with the participation of team representatives (Kharkiv, Petra Hryhorenka Avenue, 2 – Kharkiv Sports Palace).
April 28 – competition day:
07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue – Kharkiv, Petra Hryhorenka Avenue, 2 – Kharkiv Sports Palace;
08:30 – 09:00 – setting up of areas, equipment adjustment, and judges’ meeting;
09:00 – start of competitions;
09:00 – 14:00 – preliminary rounds in all sections;
14:00 – official opening of the competitions;
14:30 – 20:00 – continuation of preliminary rounds in all sections
April 29 – competition day:
07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue – Kharkiv, Petra Hryhorenka Avenue, 2 – Kharkiv Sports Palace;
08:30 – 09:00 – setting up of areas, equipment adjustment, and judges’ meeting;
09:00 – start of competitions;
09:00 – 17:00 – final Dvoboi matches in all sections, awarding of competition winners.

3. Organization and Management of the Competitions.
The European Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi was initiated by the World Cossack Fight Federation (hereinafter – WCFF) and the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation Kozatskyi Dvoboi” (hereinafter – USFKD). The direct conduct of the competitions is the responsibility of the WCFF and the chief judging panel approved by the WCFF Presidium.
4. Preparation of Sports Facilities.
In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the Procedure for the Preparation of Sports Facilities and Other Specially Designated Places for Holding Mass Sports and Cultural-Entertainment Events”:
– the preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;
– control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of competitions is exercised by a working commission formed by the relevant regional administration.
The owner of the sports facility is obliged to submit to the working commission, no less than 4 hours before the start of the competitions, an act confirming the readiness of the facility for the competitions.
Failure to comply with the requirements provided for in this paragraph, which caused emergency circumstances during the conduct of the competitions, entails liability.
5. Competition Participants.
5.1. Athletes of national teams of countries are admitted to the European Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi on the basis of applications submitted in advance by April 22, 2018, to the WCFF address vladibor72@gmail.com, ploxix111@rambler.ru
5.2. Each team whose composition exceeds 10 athletes must have one judge at the expense of the sending organization.
5.3. All judges must have accident insurance and a medical certificate.
5.4. The competitions are held according to the current international Kozatskyi Dvoboi competition rules approved by the WCFF and the Ministry.
5.5. All participants must have: passport, accident insurance, and MS, MSMK, ZMSU must also have an ID;
5.6. The competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories, and sections:
Odnotan (freestyle and formal technical complexes);
Tan-dvoboi (technical bouts, demonstration of techniques, selfdefence);
Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand with measured touch, limited, analogue of semi-contact);
Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand with light touch, limited, analogue of light-contact);
Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand with light touch, main, analogue of kick-light with low kicks and throws);
Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand with light touch, free, analogue of MMA Light);
Herts-1 (hand-to-hand with real touch, main, full-contact);
Herts-2 (hand-to-hand with real touch, main, analogue of K-1 with throws);
Herts-3 (hand-to-hand with real touch, free, MMA).

6. Financial Conditions for the Conduct of Competitions
Coverage of expenses for the organization and conduct of competitions is provided from extra-budgetary revenues. Expenses for participation in the competitions are covered by the parties sending the athletes.
Starting fee for USFKD members: 450 UAH adults, 350 UAH juniors, youth, children. For the next section -50%
7.Awards.
Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings at the European Championship are awarded with medals and Federation diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
Teams that took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the team standings at the European Championship are awarded with cups and Federation diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
Team standings are determined by the sum of points scored in the above-listed types of competitions in the corresponding weight category.
8. Sports Uniform and Equipment.
Kozatskyi Dvoboi uniform – the participants’ sports uniform must correspond to the traditional Kozatskyi Dvoboi uniform:
- sections “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Herts-1” – sharovary (Cossack trousers), vyshyvanka, or club T-shirt (in section “Herts-1” men have bare torso).
- sections “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt (in sections “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” men have bare torso).
Sports equipment and gear:
- sections “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Herts-1” – mouthguard, groin cup in supporter, bandages (“Herts-1” mandatory, “Zabava”, “Bornya-1” optional), hand gloves (up to 9 years – 8 ounces, older – 10 ounces), foot pads mandatorily with closed heel, shin guards and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
- Sections “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” – mouthguard, groin cup in supporter, bandages optional, hand gloves – open, for MMA brand “maXmix” 6 ounces (WCFF licensed), socks with protection of the upper foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In the “Herts-3” section the helmet is optional.

9. Applications
Preliminary applications for team participation in the competitions are submitted by April 22 2018 to the email vladibor72@gmail.com, ploxix111@rambler.ru
- each team representative must submit to the credentials commission a nominal application for athletes participating in the competitions in the established format with all items filled in,certified by the structural units of the regional administrations of physical culture and sports, structures that manage the field of physical culture and sports in the relevant countries, federations-representatives of the WCFF in the relevant countries.
- The nominal applications of the sending organization must be certified by a doctor of the medical-sports dispensary or a medical institution of the relevant country.
Athletes’ passports, classification books, and insurance policies are submitted to the competition credentials commission on the day of arrival.
