REGULATIONS
of the European Championshipin Kozatskyi Dvoboi
(adults, juniors, youth)

1. Goals and objectives.
The European Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held with the aim of:
– popularization and further development of the sport “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” in Ukraine and worldwide;
– raising the qualification level of athletes and referees.
2. Dates, venue and competition program.
The European Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held according to the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF).
April 26 – team arrival day;
April 27– participant registration day:
14:00 – 17:00 team registration, participant weigh-in, referee registration (Kharkiv, Petra Hryhorenka Ave., 2 – MC “Kharkiv Palace of Sports”);
17:00 – 19:00 – meeting of the credentials and medical commission (Kharkiv, Petra Hryhorenka Ave., 2 – MC “Kharkiv Palace of Sports”);
19:00 – 20:00 – meeting of the Referee Board, referee seminar (Kharkiv, Petra Hryhorenka Ave., 2 – MC “Kharkiv Palace of Sports”);
20:00 – 21:00 – official draw of participants with the participation of team representatives (Kharkiv, Petra Hryhorenka Ave., 2 – MC “Kharkiv Palace of Sports”).
April 28 – competition day:
07:00 – 08:30 – teams depart from hotels to the venue – Kharkiv, Petra Hryhorenka Ave., 2 – MC “Kharkiv Palace of Sports”;
08:30 – 09:00 – setting up of platforms, equipment configuration and referee meeting;
09:00 – start of competitions;
09:00 – 14:00 – preliminary rounds in all sections;
14:00 – official opening ceremony of the competition;
14:30 – 20:00 – continuation of preliminary rounds in all sections
April 29 – competition day:
07:00 – 08:30 – teams depart from hotels to the venue – Kharkiv, Petra Hryhorenka Ave., 2 – MC “Kharkiv Palace of Sports”;
08:30 – 09:00 – setting up of platforms, equipment configuration and referee meeting;
09:00 – start of competitions;
09:00 – 17:00 – final bouts in all sections, awarding of winners.

3. Organization and management of the competitions.
The European Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is initiated by the World Cossack Fight Federation (hereinafter WCFF) and the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation Kozatskyi Dvoboi” (hereinafter USFKB). The direct conduct of the competition is entrusted to WCFF and the main referee board approved by the Presidium of WCFF.
4. Preparation of sports facilities.
In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for the preparation of sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”:
– preparation of sports facilities is entrusted to their owners;
– control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of the competition is carried out by a working commission formed by the respective regional administration.
The owner of a sports facility, no later than 4 hours before the start of the competition, must submit to the working commission an act on the readiness of the facility to hold the competition.
Failure to comply with the requirements set forth in this clause, which has caused emergencies during the competition, entails responsibility.
5. Competition participants.
5.1. Athletes from national teams of countries are admitted to the European Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi, on the basis of preliminary applications submitted by April 22, 2017, to WCFF (vladibor_@rambler.ru).
5.2. Each team with more than 10 athletes must have one referee at the expense of the sending organization.
5.3. All referees must have accident insurance and a medical certificate.
5.4. Competitions are held according to the current international Kozatskyi Dvoboi competition rules, approved by WCFF and the Ministry.
5.5. All participants must have: passport, accident insurance, and MS, MSIC, HMSU must also have a certificate;
5.6. Competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories and sections:
Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);
Tan-dvoboi (technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques);
Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand with dosed touch limited, analog of semi-contact);
Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand with light touch limited, analog of light-contact);
Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand with light touch main, analog of kick-light with low kick and throws);
Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand with light touch free, analog of MMA Light);
Herts-1 (hand-to-hand with real touch main, full-contact);
Herts-2 (hand-to-hand with real touch main, analog of K-1 with throws);
Herts-3 (hand-to-hand with real touch free, MMA).

6. Financial conditions for the competition
Coverage of expenses for organizing and conducting the competition is provided from off-budget revenues. Expenses for participation in the competition are provided by the parties sending the athletes.
Entry fee for USFKB members: 400 UAH adults, 300 UAH juniors, youth, children. For an additional section -50%
7.Awards.
Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings at the European Championship are awarded with medals and diplomas of the Federation of respective degrees.
Teams that took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the team standings at the European Championship are awarded with cups and diplomas of the Federation of respective degrees.
The team championship is determined by the sum of points scored in the above-mentioned types of competition in the respective weight category.
8. Sports uniform and equipment.
Kozatskyi Dvoboi attire – the sports uniform of participants must correspond to the traditional form of Kozatskyi Dvoboi (sharovary trousers, vyshyvanka shirt, or club T-shirt). In the section Bornya-3 – MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt. In the section Herts-3 – MMA shorts.
Sports gear and protective equipment – mouthguard, groin protector in bandage, hand wraps, hand gloves (10 oz), for sections Herts-2, Herts-3, Bornya-2, Bornya-3 open gloves for mixed martial arts (6 oz “maxmix”), foot pads, shin protection and helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In the section Herts-3, helmet is optional.
9. Applications
Preliminary applications for teams to participate in the competition are submitted by April 22, 2017 to the email vladibor_@rambler.ru
- each team representative must submit to the credentials commission a named application for athletes participating in the competition, of the established sample, with all items filled in,certified by structural subdivisions of regional administrations of physical culture and sports, structures managing physical culture and sports in the respective countries, federations-representatives of WCFF in the respective countries.
- named applications from the sending organization must be certified by a doctor of the sports medicine dispensary or a medical institution of the respective country.
Passports, athlete classification books, insurance policies are submitted to the competition credentials commission on the day of arrival.
