Regulations

for holding the Ukrainian Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi

(adults, juniors, youths)

1. Goals and Objectives

The Ukrainian Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi (hereinafter — Ukrainian Championship) is held with the aim of:

broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;

military-patriotic and sports education of youth;

further development of the sport and its popularization in the state;

raising the level of athletes’ skill;

selecting the strongest athletes for the national team of Ukraine to participate in international competitions;

intensifying training and educational work in sports organizations;

summarizing the work of sports organizations;

2. Dates and venue of the competitions

The Ukrainian Championship is held on October 02 — 04, 2020 on the territory of the sports and entertainment complex “Extreme Park X-PARK” at the address: Kyiv, Park of Friendship of Peoples, Yuriyivska Bay 72.

3. Organization and management of the competitions

The organization and management of the competitions is carried out by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the “Ukrainian Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Dvoboi”
(hereinafter — the Federation).

Responsibility for the preparation and direct holding of the Ukrainian Championship is assigned to the Department of Youth and Sports of the Kyiv City State Administration and to the judging panel formed by the Federation, the composition of which is approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

4. Participants of the competitions

The Ukrainian Championship admits combined teams of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, regions, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol.

Team composition: unlimited.

Age categories of participants:

adults (men or women) — 19 years and older.

Juniors — 16-18 years;

Youths — 13-15 years;

Youths — 10-12 years;

Youths — 7-9 years.

The uniform of competition participants is in accordance with the requirements of the Rules of sports competitions in Kozatskyi Dvoboi (hereinafter — the Rules).

Level of admission to the competitions (by classification):

Adults — not lower than 1st sports rank;

Juniors — not lower than 1st sports rank;

Youths — not lower than 1st junior rank

5. Nature of the event

The competitions are individual-team, conducted in accordance with the Rules.

6. Program of the competitions

The Ukrainian Championship is held on October 02 — 04, 2020 on the territory of the sports and entertainment complex “Extreme Park X-PARK” (Old School Boxing Club) at the address: Kyiv, Park of Friendship of Peoples, Yuriyivska Bay 72.

Program of the competitions:

October 02 — day of teams’ arrival and registration of participants;

14:00 — 18:00 team registration, weigh-in of participants, registration of judges;

18:00 — 19:00 — meeting of the credentials and medical commission;

19:00 — 20:00 — meeting of the Judging Panel, judges’ seminar;

20:00 — 21:00 — official draw for participants with the participation of team representatives.

October 03 — competition day:

07:00 — 08:30 — departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue;

08:30 — 09:00 — setting up sports grounds, equipment setup and judges’ meeting;

09:00 — start of competitions;

09:00 — 13:00 — preliminary performances in the “dvoboi” sections;

13:00 — official opening of the competitions;

13:30 — 21:00 — continuation of preliminary performances, semi-final dvoboi, and final dvoboi in all sections, awarding the winners of the competitions;

October 04

09:00 — 17:00 summing up the results of the competitions, departure of teams.

The program of competitions in Kozatskyi Dvoboi includes the following types of competitions, held in the respective age and weight categories, namely:

Odnotan (free-form and formal technical complexes);

Tan-dvoboi (technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);

Zabava 1 (hand-to-hand combat with measured touch, limited, analog of semi-contact);

Bornya 1 (hand-to-hand combat with light touch, limited, analog of light-contact);

Bornya 2 (hand-to-hand combat with light touch, main, analog of kick-light with low-kick and throws);

Bornya 3 (hand-to-hand combat with light touch, free, analog of MMA Light);

Wrestling (analog of grappling);

Herts 1 (hand-to-hand combat with real touch, main, full-contact);

Herts 2 (hand-to-hand combat with real touch, main, analog of K-1 with throws);

Herts 3 (hand-to-hand combat with real touch, free, MMA).

Weight categories for the sections “Zabava”, “Bornya”, “Wrestling”

Weight categories for the sections “Herts 1” and “Herts 2”

Weight categories for the section “Herts 3”

Odnotan and Tan-dvoboi — according to age groups.

7. Safety and preparation of competition venues

Preparation of competition venues is carried out in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of December 18, 1998 No. 2025 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”.

8. Conditions for determining the championship and awarding winners and prize-winners

Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings at the Ukrainian Championship are awarded medals and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

Teams that took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the team standings at the Ukrainian Championship are awarded cups and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

The team championship is determined by the sum of points scored in the above-mentioned types of competitions in the corresponding weight category.

9. Sports uniform and equipment.

Uniform for Kozatskyi Dvoboi — the sports uniform of participants must correspond to the traditional Kozatskyi Dvoboi uniform:

• sections “Zabava”, “Bornya 1”, “Herts 1” — sharovary, vyshyvanka, or club t-shirt (in section “Herts 1” men are bare-chested).
• sections “Bornya 2”, “Bornya 3”, “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” MMA shorts, rashguard or t-shirt (in sections “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” men are bare-chested).
• sections “Odnotan”, “Tan dvoboi” — sharovary, vyshyvanka.

Sports gear and protective equipment:

• sections “Zabava”, “Bornya 1”, “Herts 1” — mouthguard, groin protector in a bandage, hand wraps (“Herts 1” mandatory, “Zabava”, “Bornya 1” optional), boxing gloves (under 9 years — 8 ounces, older — 10 ounces), foot pads mandatory with closed heel, shin guard and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
• Sections “Bornya 2”, “Bornya 3”, “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” — mouthguard, groin protector in a bandage, hand wraps optional, hand gloves — open, trademark “maXmix” licensed by WCFF — 6 ounces, foot stockings with protection of the upper part of the foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In section “Herts 3” helmet is optional.
• Gloves and helmet according to corner color.

10. Conditions for financing the event and material support of participants
