for the Ukraine Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi among adults, juniors, youth and children
1. Goals and objectives
The Ukraine Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi (hereinafter the Ukraine Championship) is held with the aim of:
- broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;
- military-patriotic and sports education of youth;
- further development of the sport and its popularization in the country;
- raising the skill level of athletes;
- selecting the strongest athletes for the national team of Ukraine to participate in international competitions;
- activating training work in sports organizations;
- summing up the results of work in sports organizations;
- fulfillment of sports titles in Kozatskyi Dvoboi according to the Unified Sports Classification of Ukraine.
2. Dates and venue of the competition
The Ukraine Championship is held on October 12-15, 2018 at the sports complex of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the National Pedagogical University named after M. P. Drahomanov, address: Kyiv,
Turhenievska Street, 3/9.
3. Organization and management of the competition
The organization and management of the competition is carried out by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Dvoboi”
(hereinafter the Federation).
Responsibility for the preparation and direct conduct of the Ukraine Championship rests with the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Kyiv City State Administration and on the referee board formed by the Federation, the composition of which is approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
4. Competition participants
Admitted to participate in the Ukraine Championship are the teams of the AR of Crimea, regions, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol.
Team composition: unlimited.
Age categories of competition participants:
Adults (men or women) – 19 years and older.
Juniors – 16-18 years;
Youth – 13-15 years;
Youth – 10-12 years;
Children – 7-9 years.
Clothing form of competition participants, according to the requirements of the Rules of sports competitions in Kozatskyi Dvoboi (hereinafter the Rules).
Level of admission to competitions (by classification):
Adults – not lower than 1st rank;
Juniors, youth, children – not lower than 2nd rank
5. Nature of the event
The competitions are individual-team, held according to the Rules.
6. Competition program
The Ukraine Championship is held on October 12-15, 2018 at the sports complex of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the National Pedagogical University named after M. P. Drahomanov, address: Kyiv,
Turhenievska Street, 3/9.
Competition program:
October 12 – team arrival day, participant registration day:
14:00 – 18:00 team registration, participant weigh-in, referee registration;
18:00 – 19:00 – meeting of the credentials and medical commission;
19:00 – 20:00 – meeting of the Referee Board, referee seminar;
20:00 – 21:00 – official draw of participants with the participation of team representatives.
October 13– competition day:
07:00 – 08:30 – teams depart from hotels to the venue;
08:30 – 09:00 – setting up of sports platforms, equipment configuration and referee meeting;
09:00 – start of competitions
09:00 – 13:00 – preliminary rounds in the “Dvoboi” sections;
13:00 – official opening ceremony of the competition;
13:30 – 21:00 – continuation of preliminary rounds, semi-final bouts;
October 14 – competition day:
07:00 – 08:30 – teams depart from hotels to the venue;
08:30 – 09:00 – setting up of sports platforms, equipment configuration and referee meeting;
09:00 – start of competitions, final bouts in all sections, awarding of winners.

The Kozatskyi Dvoboi competition program includes the following types of competition, held in the respective age and weight categories, in particular:
Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);
Tan-dvoboi (technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques);
Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand with dosed touch limited, analog of semi-contact);
Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand with light touch limited, analog of light-contact);
Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand with light touch main, analog of kick-light with low kick and throws);
Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand with light touch free, analog of MMA Light);
Herts-1 (hand-to-hand with real touch main, full-contact);
Herts-2 (hand-to-hand with real touch main, analog of K-1 with throws);
Herts-3 (hand-to-hand with real touch free, MMA).

7. Safety and preparation of competition venues
The preparation of competition venues is carried out in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of December 18, 1998 No. 2025 “On the procedure for the preparation of sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”.
8. Conditions for determining championship and awarding of winners and prizewinners
Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings at the Ukraine Championship are awarded with medals and diplomas of the Federation of respective degrees.
Teams that took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the team standings at the Ukraine Championship are awarded with cups and diplomas of the Federation of respective degrees.
The team championship is determined by the sum of points scored in the above-mentioned types of competition in the respective weight category.
9. Sports uniform and equipment.
Kozatskyi Dvoboi attire – the sports uniform of participants must correspond to the traditional form of Kozatskyi Dvoboi:
- · sections “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Herts-1” – sharovary trousers, vyshyvanka shirt, or club T-shirt (in the section “Herts-1” for men torso bare).
- · sections “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” – MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt (in the sections “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” for men torso bare).
Sports gear and protective equipment:
- · sections “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Herts-1” – mouthguard, groin protector in bandage, hand wraps (“Herts-1” obligatory, “Zabava”, “Bornya-1” optional), hand gloves (under 9 years – 8 oz, older – 10 oz), foot pads obligatory with closed heel, shin protection and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
- · Sections “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” – mouthguard, groin protector in bandage, hand wraps optional, hand gloves – open, for MMA brand “maXmix” 6 oz (licensed by WCFF), socks with protection of the upper part of the foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In the section “Herts-3” helmet optional.
10. Conditions of event financing and material support of participants
Expenses for organizing and conducting the Ukraine Championship are covered by the Federation.
Participation in competitions is at the expense of the sending organizations.
Starting charitable contribution per participant – 300 UAH.
11. Dates and procedure for submitting applications for participation in the Ukraine Championship
Preliminary applications for team participation in the Ukraine Championship are sent no later than 7 days before the start of the competition to the Federation’s email vladibor72@gmail.com, contact phones: +38 097 954 52 09 – Radionov Volodymyr Anatoliyovych; organizational questions +38 067 966 44 61 – Korniyaka Olexandr Volodymyrovych.
To participate in the competition, the following are submitted to the credentials commission on the day of arrival: named applications, certified with seal and signature of the leadership of structural subdivisions of the AR of Crimea, regions, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, and by a doctor of the medical-sports dispensary, copy of passport, classification books, insurance policies (valid for the duration of the competition), tax number.
Teams and participants who confirmed their participation within the established term are admitted to the competition.
