for holding the Cup of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi among adults and the All-Ukrainian tournament – Championship of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi among schoolchildren (juniors, youths).

1. Goals and Objectives

The Cup of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi among adults and the All-Ukrainian tournament – Championship of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi among schoolchildren (juniors, youths) is held with the aim of:

• broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;
• military-patriotic and sporting education of youth;
• further development of the sport and its popularization in the country;
• raising the level of mastery of athletes;
• selecting stronger athletes for the Ukrainian national team to participate in international competitions;
• activating training and educational work in sports organizations;
• summarizing the work in sports organizations.

2. Date and venue of the competition

The Cup of Ukraine among adults and the Championship of Ukraine among schoolchildren (juniors, youths) is held from 30 March – 1 April 2021 at the sports complex – Sports Palace “Lokomotyv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine, 61000

3. Organization and management of the competition

The Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” (hereinafter – the Federation) are responsible for organizing and conducting the competition.

Responsibility for the preparation and direct conduct of the Cup of Ukraine among adults and the Championship of Ukraine among schoolchildren is entrusted to the Department of Youth and Sport of the Kharkiv Oblast State Administration and the head referee panel formed by the Federation, the composition of which is approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sport.

4. Competition participants

The Cup of Ukraine is open to the national teams of the AR of Crimea, oblasts and the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol.

Team size: unlimited.

Age categories of participants:

adults (men or women) — 19 years and older;

Juniors – 16-18 years;

Youths – 13-15 years;

Youths – 10-12 years;

Youths – 7-9 years.

Level of admission to the competition (according to classification):

adults – no lower than 1st category, juniors – no lower than 1st category, youths – no lower than 1st youth category.

5. Character of the event

The competition is held as individual-team and is conducted in accordance with the Rules.

6. Competition program

The Cup of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi among adults and the All-Ukrainian tournament – Championship of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi among schoolchildren (juniors, youths) is held from 30 March – 1 April 2021 at the sports complex – (Sports Palace “Lokomotyv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine, 61000)

Competition program:

30 March– day of arrival of teams and registration of participants;

14:00 — 18:00 registration of teams, weigh-in of participants, registration of judges;

18:00 — 19:00 — meeting of the credentials and medical commission;

19:00 — 20:00 — meeting of the Referee Panel, referee seminar;

20:00 — 21:00 — official draw of participants.

31 March – day of competition:

07:00 — 08:30 — departure of teams from hotels to the venue;

08:30 — 09:00 — setup of sports areas, equipment and referee meeting;

09:00 — start of the competition;

09:00 — 13:00 — preliminary bouts in the “dvoboi” divisions;

13:00 — official opening of the competition;

13:30 — 16:00 — continuation of preliminary bouts, semifinal bouts, and final bouts in all divisions.

16:00 — 21:00 — final bouts in all divisions, awarding of winners;

The competition program in Kozatskyi Dvoboi includes the following types of competitions held in the corresponding age and weight categories, in particular:

Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);

Tan dvoboi (technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques, selfdefense);

Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand combat with dosed contact, limited, analog of semi-contact);

Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand combat with light contact, limited, analog of light-contact);

Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand combat with light contact, basic, analog of kick-light with low kicks and throws);

Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand combat with light contact, free, analog of MMA Light);

Wrestling (analog of grappling);

Herts-1 (hand-to-hand combat with real contact, basic, full-contact);

Herts-2 (hand-to-hand combat with real contact, basic, analog of K-1 with throws);

Herts-3 (hand-to-hand combat with real contact, free, MMA).

7. Safety and preparation of competition venues

The preparation of competition venues is carried out in accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of 18 December 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”.

8. Sports uniform and equipment.

Dress code of Kozatskyi Dvoboi – the participants’ sports uniform must correspond to the traditional uniform of Kozatskyi Dvoboi:

• divisions «Zabava», «Bornya-1», «Herts-1» – sharovary, vyshyvanka, or club T-shirt (in the «Herts-1» division for men torso bare).
• divisions «Bornya-2», «Bornya-3», «Herts-2», «Herts-3» MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt (in the «Herts-2», «Herts-3» divisions for men torso bare).

Sports gear and protective equipment:

• divisions «Zabava», «Bornya-1», «Herts-1» – mouthguard, groin cup in a bandage, hand wraps («Herts-1» mandatory, «Zabava», «Bornya-1» optional), hand gloves (up to 9 years – 8 oz, older – 10 oz), foot guards mandatory with closed heel, shin guards and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
• Divisions «Bornya-2», «Bornya-3», «Herts-2», «Herts-3» – mouthguard, groin cup in a bandage, hand wraps optional, hand gloves – open, WCFF-licensed “maXmix” brand – 6 oz, stockings with protection of the upper foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In the «Herts-3» division helmet is optional.
• Gloves and helmet according to the corner color.

9. Conditions for determining placings and awarding winners and prize-winners

Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings at the Cup of Ukraine are awarded with medals and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

Teams that took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the team standings at the Cup of Ukraine are awarded with cups and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

Team standings are determined by the sum of points scored in the above-listed competition types in the relevant weight category.

10. Conditions for financing the event and material support of participants

Expenses for the organization and conduct of the Cup of Ukraine are covered by the Federation.

Participation in the competition is at the expense of the sending organizations.

Charitable entry fee – UAH 400 per division.

11. Deadlines and procedure for submitting applications for participation in the Cup of Ukraine

Preliminary applications for team participation in the Cup of Ukraine are sent no later than 10 days before the start of the competition to the email addresses of the Federation:

For participation in the competition, the following are submitted to the credentials commission on the day of arrival: name applications certified with the seal and signature of the leadership of the structural units of the AR of Crimea, oblasts, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, and by a doctor of the sports medical dispensary, a copy of the passport, classification books, insurance policies (valid for the time of the competition), tax ID, certificates with the results of rapid antigen testing for the COVID-19 virus, on an official form certified with a seal.

Teams and participants who have confirmed their participation within the established time are admitted to the competition.
