Preparations for the Ukrainian Cup are underway in all regions
Regulations
for the Ukrainian Cup among adults and the All-Ukrainian tournament “Youth Cup of Ukraine” among juniors and youths in Cossack fight:
1. Goals and Objectives
The Ukrainian Cup in Cossack fight and the All-Ukrainian tournament in Cossack fight “Youth Cup of Ukraine” (hereinafter − Ukrainian Cup) are held with the aim of:
- wide involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;
- military-patriotic and sports education of youth;
- further development of the sport and its popularization in the state;
- increasing the skill level of athletes;
- selection of the strongest athletes for the national team of Ukraine for participation in international competitions (European Championship – 2017, World Cup – 2017);
- activation of educational and training work in sports organizations;
- summarizing the work in sports organizations.
2. Dates and Venue of the Competition
The Ukrainian Cup is held on March 17 − 19, 2017 at the sports complex – Athletic Arena of Sumy State University, at the address: Sumy, Prokofiev St., 38/1.
3. Organization and Management of the Competition
The organization and management of the competition are carried out by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Cossack Fight”
(hereinafter – Federation).
Responsibility for the preparation and direct conduct of the Ukrainian Cup is assigned to the Department of Youth and Sports of the Sumy Regional State Administration and to the judging panel formed by the Federation, whose composition is approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
4. Participants of the Competition
The Ukrainian Cup is open to national teams of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, regions, Kyiv and Sevastopol.
Team composition: unlimited.
Age categories of competition participants:
adults (men or women) – 19 years and older;
Juniors – 16-18 years;
Youths – 13-15 years;
Youths – 10-12 years;
Youths – 7-9 years.
The clothing form of the competition participants, according to the requirements of the Rules of sports competitions in Cossack fight (hereinafter − Rules).
Level of admission to the competition (by classification):
adults – not lower than 1st category, juniors – not lower than 1st category, youths – not lower than 1st youth category.
5. Nature of the Event
The competition is individual-team, held in accordance with the Rules.
6. Competition Program
The Ukrainian Cup among adults and the All-Ukrainian tournament in Cossack fight “Youth Cup of Ukraine” is held on March 17 − 19, 2017 at the sports complex – Athletic Arena of Sumy State University, at the address: Sumy, Prokofiev St., 38/1.

Competition program:
March 17– arrival day of teams and registration of participants:
14:00 – 18:00 team registration, participant weighing, judge registration;
18:00 – 19:00 – meeting of the mandate and medical commission;
19:00 – 20:00 – meeting of the Judging Panel, judges’ seminar;
20:00 – 21:00 – official draw of participants with the participation of team representatives.
March 18 – competition day:
07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue;
08:30 – 09:00 – arrangement of sports grounds, equipment setup, and judges’ meeting;
09:00 – start of competitions;
09:00 – 13:00 – preliminary performances in the “fight” sections;
13:00 – official opening of the competition;
13:30 – 21:00 – continuation of preliminary performances, semi-final fights, and final fights in all sections, except sections “herts-1”, “herts-2”, “herts-3”.
March 19
10:00 – 17:00 – final fights in the sections “herts-1”, “herts-2”, “herts-3”, awarding of competition winners;
17:00 – 21:00 summarizing the competition results, team departure.
The Cossack fight competition program includes the following types of competitions, held in the respective age and weight categories, including:
Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);
Tan-fight (technical duels, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);
Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand with limited contact, semi-contact analog);
Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand with light contact, light-contact analog);
Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand with light contact main, kick-light analog with low kick and throws);
Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand with light contact free, MMA Light analog);
Herts-1 (hand-to-hand with real contact main, full-contact);
Herts-2 (hand-to-hand with real contact main, K-1 analog with throws);
Herts-3 (hand-to-hand with real contact free, MMA).

7. Safety and Preparation of Competition Venues
Preparation of competition venues is carried out in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 18, 1998 No. 2025 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for mass sports and cultural events”.
8. Conditions for Determining the Championship and Awarding Winners and Prize-Winners
Athletes who take 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings at the Ukrainian Cup are awarded medals and diplomas of the Federation of the respective degrees.
Teams that take 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the team standings at the Ukrainian Cup are awarded cups and diplomas of the Federation of the respective degrees.
The team championship is determined by the sum of points scored in the above-mentioned types of competitions in the respective weight category.
9. Conditions for Financing the Event and Material Support of Participants
Expenses for the organization and conduct of the Ukrainian Cup are covered by the Federation.
Participation in the competition is at the expense of the sending organizations.
10. Deadlines and Procedure for Submitting Applications for Participation in the Ukrainian Cup
Preliminary applications for team participation in the Ukrainian Cup are sent no later than 7 days before the start of the competition to the Federation’s email address, contact phones: +38 097 954 52 09 – Radionov Volodymyr Anatoliyovych; +38 067 966 44 61 – Korniyaka Oleksandr Volodymyrovych.
To participate in the competition, the following are submitted to the mandate commission on the day of arrival: nominal applications certified by the seal and signature of the leadership of the structural subdivisions of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, regions, Kyiv and Sevastopol, and by a doctor of the medical-physical dispensary, a copy of the passport, classification books, insurance policies (valid at the time of the competition), identification code.
Teams and participants who confirmed their participation within the established period are allowed to compete.
Protocols with competition results, original applications, the chief judge’s report are submitted to the Ministry of Youth and Sports within 5 days after the end of the competition at the address: Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine (department of sports-technical and applied sports), 01601, Kyiv, Esplanadna St., 42.
Accommodation for athletes at the address: Sumy, Prokofiev St., 38/1. Hotel “Olympic”.
