on the holding of the Ukraine Cup among adults and the All-Ukrainian Tournament “Ukraine Youth Cup” among juniors and youth in Kozatskyi Dvoboi.

1. Aims and Objectives

The Ukraine Cup in Kozatskyi Dvoboi and the All-Ukrainian Tournament in Kozatskyi Dvoboi “Ukraine Youth Cup” (hereinafter — Ukraine Cup) is held with the aim of:

• broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;
• military-patriotic and sports education of youth;
• further development of the sport and its popularization in the country;
• raising the skill level of athletes;
• selection of the strongest athletes for the Ukrainian national team to participate in international competitions (European Championship 2018, World Cup 2018);
• activation of training work in sports organizations;
• summarizing the results of work in sports organizations.

2. Dates and Venue of the Competitions

The Ukraine Cup is held on March 16-18, 2018 at the sports complex — Athletics Arena of Sumy State University, at the address: Sumy, Prokofieva St., 38/1.

3. Organization and Management of the Competitions

The organization and conduct of the competitions is managed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Dvoboi”
(hereinafter — Federation).

Responsibility for the preparation and direct conduct of the Ukraine Cup rests with the Department of Youth and Sports of the Sumy Regional State Administration and with the judges’ panel formed by the Federation, the composition of which is approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

4. Competition Participants

National teams of the AR of Crimea, the regions, and the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol are admitted to the Ukraine Cup.

Team composition: unlimited.

Age categories of participants:

adults (men or women) — 19 years and older;

Juniors — 16-18 years;

Youth — 13-15 years;

Youth — 10-12 years;

Youth — 7-9 years.

Level of admission to competitions (by classification):

adults — not lower than 1st rank, juniors — not lower than 1st rank, youth — not lower than 1st youth rank.

5. Nature of the Event

The competitions are individual-team and are held in accordance with the Rules.

6. Competition Program

The Ukraine Cup among adults and the All-Ukrainian Kozatskyi Dvoboi Tournament “Ukraine Youth Cup” is held on March 16-18, 2018 at the sports complex — Athletics Arena of Sumy State University, at the address: Sumy, Prokofieva St., 38/1.

Competition program:

March 16 — day of arrival of teams and registration of participants:

14:00 — 18:00 team registration, weighing of participants, registration of judges;

18:00 — 19:00 — meeting of the credentials and medical commission;

19:00 — 20:00 — meeting of the Judges’ Panel, judges’ seminar;

20:00 — 21:00 — official draw of participants.

March 17 — competition day:

07:00 — 08:30 — departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue;

08:30 — 09:00 — setting up sports areas, equipment configuration and judges’ briefing;

09:00 — start of competitions;

09:00 — 13:00 — preliminary performances in the “Dvoboi” sections;

13:00 — official opening of the competitions;

13:30 — 16:00 — continuation of preliminary performances, semifinal Dvoboi bouts, and final Dvoboi bouts in all sections.

16:00 — 21:00 — final Dvoboi bouts in all sections, awarding of competition winners;

summarizing the results of the competitions, departure of teams.

The Kozatskyi Dvoboi competition program includes the following types of events, held in the appropriate age and weight categories, namely:

Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);

Tan dvoboi (technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);

Zabava 1 (limited dosed-contact hand-to-hand, analog of semi-contact);

Bornya 1 (limited light-contact hand-to-hand, analog of light-contact);

Bornya 2 (main light-contact hand-to-hand, analog of kick-light with low kicks and throws);

Bornya 3 (free light-contact hand-to-hand, analog of MMA Light);

Herts 1 (main real-contact hand-to-hand, full-contact);

Herts 2 (main real-contact hand-to-hand, analog of K-1 with throws);

Herts 3 (free real-contact hand-to-hand, MMA).

Weight categories for the “Herts 1” and “Herts 2” sections

Weight categories for the “Herts 3” section

Odnotan and Tan dvoboi – according to age groups.

7. Safety and Preparation of Competition Venues

Preparation of competition venues is carried out in accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural events”.

8. Sports Uniform and Equipment.

Kozatskyi Dvoboi uniform — the sports uniform of participants must correspond to the traditional Kozatskyi Dvoboi uniform:

• · sections “Zabava”, “Bornya 1”, “Herts 1” — sharovary, vyshyvanka or club T-shirt (in the “Herts 1” section men compete bare-torso).
• · sections “Bornya 2”, “Bornya 3”, “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt (in the “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” sections men compete bare-torso).

Sports gear and protective equipment:

• · sections “Zabava”, “Bornya 1”, “Herts 1” — mouthguard, groin cup in a jockstrap, hand wraps (“Herts 1” mandatory, “Zabava”, “Bornya 1” optional), gloves (under 9 years — 8 oz, older — 10 oz), foot pads with closed heel mandatory, shin guards and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
• · Sections “Bornya 2”, “Bornya 3”, “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” — mouthguard, groin cup in a jockstrap, hand wraps optional, hand gloves — open, for MMA 6 oz of the brand “MAXMIX” licensed by WCFF, socks with protection for the top of the foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In the “Herts 3” section the helmet is optional.

9. Conditions for Determining the Championship and Awarding Winners and Prize-Winners

Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings at the Ukraine Cup are awarded medals and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

Teams that took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the team standings at the Ukraine Cup are awarded cups and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

The team championship is determined by the sum of points scored in the above-mentioned types of competitions in the corresponding weight category.

10. Conditions for Financing the Event and Material Support for Participants

Expenses for organizing and conducting the Ukraine Cup are covered by the Federation.

Participation in the competitions is at the expense of the sending organizations.

11. Deadlines and Procedure for Submitting Applications to Participate in the Ukraine Cup

Preliminary applications for team participation in the Ukraine Cup are sent no later than March 10, 2018 to the Federation’s email address:

To participate in the competitions, the following are submitted to the credentials commission on the day of arrival: nominal applications, certified with the seal and signature of the management of structural units of the AR of Crimea, regions, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, and by a doctor of the sports medicine clinic, passport, classification books, insurance policies (valid for the duration of the competition), identification code.

Teams and participants who confirmed their participation by the established deadline are admitted to the competitions.
