World Cup of Cossack Fight

(adults, juniors, youth)

June 20-23, 2016

Odesa

1. Purpose and objectives.

The World Cup of Cossack Fight is held with the aim of:

– promoting and further developing the sport “Cossack Fight” in Ukraine and the World;

– improving the level of athletes and judges.

2. Date, venue, and program of the competition.

The World Cup of Cossack Fight is held according to the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF).

June 20arrival day of the teams;

June 21– registration day for participants:

10:00 – 18:00 team registration, participant weighing, judge registration (SCC “Odesa Sports Palace”, at the address: Odesa, Shevchenko Ave 31);

18:00­­­ – 19:00 – meeting of the mandate and medical commission (SCC “Odesa Sports Palace”, at the address: Odesa, Shevchenko Ave 31);

19:00­­­ – 20:00 – meeting of the Judges’ Board, judges’ seminar (SCC “Odesa Sports Palace”, at the address: Odesa, Shevchenko Ave 31);

20:00­­­ – 21:00 – official draw of participants with the participation of team representatives (SCC “Odesa Sports Palace”, at the address: Odesa, Shevchenko Ave 31).

June 22competition day:

07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue – SCC “Odesa Sports Palace”, at the address: Odesa, Shevchenko Ave 31;

08:30 – 09:00 – tatami setup, equipment adjustment, and judges’ meeting;

09:00 – start of the competition;

09:00 – 14:00 – preliminary performances in the “duel” sections;

14:00 – official opening of the competition;

14:30 – continuation of preliminary performances, semi-final duels, and final duels in all sections, except for sections “herts-1”, “herts-2”, “herts-3”.

17:00 – final duels in sections “herts-1”, “herts-2”, “herts-3”, awarding of competition winners;

3. Organization and management of the competition.

The World Cup of Cossack Fight is initiated by the World Cossack Fight Federation (hereinafter – WCFF) and the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation “Cossack Fight” (hereinafter – USFCF). The direct conduct of the competition is entrusted to the WCFF and the main judges’ board approved by the WCFF Presidium.

4. Preparation of sports facilities.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 dated December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural events”:

– the preparation of sports facilities is entrusted to their owners;

– control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of the competition is carried out by a working commission formed by the relevant regional administration.

The owner of the sports facility must submit an act to the working commission on the readiness of the facility for the competition no less than 4 hours before the start of the competition.

Failure to comply with the requirements provided for in this paragraph, which caused extraordinary circumstances during the competition, entails responsibility.

 5.  Participants of the competition.

5.1. Athletes of national teams of countries are allowed to participate in the World Cup of Cossack Fight based on previously submitted applications by June 18, 2016, to the WCFF address (vladibor_@rambler.ru).

5.2. Each team with more than 10 athletes must have one judge at the expense of the sending organization.

5.3. All judges must have accident insurance and a medical certificate.

5.4. The competition is held according to the current international competition rules of Cossack Fight, approved by the WCFF and the Ministry.

5.5. All participants must have: a passport, accident insurance, and MS, MSMK, ZMSU must also have a certificate;

5.6.    The competition is held in the following age groups, weight categories, and sections:

Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);

Tan-duel (technical duels, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);

Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand with limited contact, semi-contact analog);

Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand with light contact, light-contact analog);

Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand with light contact main, kick-light analog with low kick and throws);

Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand with light contact free, MMA Light analog);

Herts-1 (hand-to-hand with real contact main, full-contact);

Herts-2 (hand-to-hand with real contact main, K-1 analog with throws);

Herts-3 (hand-to-hand with real contact free, MMA).

6. Financial conditions for the competition

The costs of organizing and conducting the competition are covered by non-budgetary revenues. The costs of participation in the competition are covered by the parties sending the athletes.

The starting charitable contribution from each participant (members of USFCF) is 250 UAH (children, youth, juniors), 350 UAH (adults).

7. Awards.

Athletes who take:

I places – are awarded medals and diplomas of the respective degrees.

II – III places – are awarded medals and diplomas of the respective degrees.

 8.  Sportswear and equipment.

Cossack Fight clothing – participants’ sportswear must correspond to the traditional Cossack Fight attire (sharovary, embroidered shirt, or club t-shirt). In the Herts-3 section, shorts for MMA.

Sports equipment and gear – mouthguard, groin protector in a bandage, wraps, gloves (10 ounces), for the Herts-2, Herts-3, Bornya-2, Bornya-3 sections open gloves for mixed martial arts (6 ounces “maxmix”), foot protectors, shin guards, and helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In the Herts-3 section, helmet optional.

9. Applications

Preliminary applications for team participation in the competition are submitted by June 18, 2016 to the email vladibor_@rambler.ru

  • each team representative must provide the mandate commission with a nominal application for athletes participating in the competition, in the established form, with all points filled in, certified by the structural subdivisions of regional departments of physical culture and sports, structures that manage physical culture and sports in the respective countries, federations representing WCFF in the respective countries.
  • the sending organization must have nominal applications certified by a doctor of the physical culture and sports dispensary or a medical institution of the respective country.

Passports, classification books of athletes, insurance policy are submitted to the mandate commission on the day of arrival.
