Regulations

for the Open Championship of Kyiv Region in Kozatskyi Biy

The regional Championship is held on September 22, 2018. Venue: Kyievo-Sviatoshynskyi district, Sviatopetrivske village, Bilhorodska St., 26, SPC “Dobrovolets”.

1. Goals and objectives

The Open Championship of Kyiv Region in Kozatskyi Biy (hereinafter – Regional Championship) is held with the goal of:

-broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;

-military-patriotic and sports education of youth;

-further development of the sport and its popularization in the country;

-raising the level of athletes’ skill;

-selection of stronger athletes for the regional team for participation in all-Ukrainian competitions;

-activation of educational and training work in sports organizations;

-summarizing the work of sports organizations;

2. Dates and venue of competitions

The regional Championship is held on September 22, 2018. Venue: Kyievo-Sviatoshynskyi district, Sviatopetrivske village, Bilhorodska St., 26, SPC “Dobrovolets”.

3. Organization and management of competitions

The management of the organization and conduct of competitions is carried out by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyiv Regional State Administration and the Kyiv Regional Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Biy” (hereinafter – the Federation).

Responsibility for the preparation and direct conduct of the regional championship is entrusted to the main refereeing board formed by the Federation of Ukraine and the Kyiv Regional Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Biy”.

4. Competition participants

National teams of the cities of the region, Kyiv, YSS, RYSS and sports clubs are admitted to the Regional Championship on the basis of preliminary applications submitted by September 17, 2018 to the address: vladibor72@gmail.com

Age categories of competition participants:

Adults – 19-40 years old;

Juniors – 16-18 years old;

Youth – 13-15 years old;

Youth – 10-12 years old;

Children – 7-9 years old;

The uniform of competition participants is in accordance with the requirements of the Rules of sports competitions in Kozatskyi Biy (hereinafter – Rules).

5. Nature of the event

Competitions are individual-team, held in accordance with the Rules.

6. Competition program

The regional Championship is held on September 22, 2018. Venue: Kyievo-Sviatoshynskyi district, Sviatopetrivske village, Bilhorodska St., 26, SPC “Dobrovolets”.

Competition program:

September 22, 2018

8.00- 10.00 – re-weigh-in of athletes according to preliminary applications;

10.00 – official opening ceremony of the competition;

10.30-14.00 – preliminary, semifinal and final bouts in hand-to-hand combat divisions among youth and juniors;

14.00-18.00 – preliminary, semifinal and final bouts in hand-to-hand combat divisions among juniors and adults;

18.00 – awarding the winners of the competition.

Weight categories are not applied for divisions “Tan-dvoboi” (self-defense) and “Odnotan” (technical complexes) in Kozatskyi Biy competitions. Athletes compete according to age groups.

Free-fight (hand-to-hand) divisions: “Zabava”, “Bornya” and “Herts” which are held in weight and age categories.

“Zabava” – hand-to-hand combat with measured contact (analog of point-fight, semi-contact).

“Bornya” – hand-to-hand combat with light contact:

• limited “Bornya 1” – analog of light contact;
• main “Bornya 2” – analog of light low-kick with throws and clinch;
• free “Bornya 3” – analog of MMA-light.

“Herts” – hand-to-hand combat with real contact:

• limited “Herts 1” – analog of full contact;
• main “Herts 2” – analog of low-kick with throws and clinch;
• free “Herts 3”, analog of MMA.

7. Safety and preparation of competition venues

The preparation of competition venues is carried out in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of December 18, 1998 No. 2025 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”.

8. Conditions for determining the championship and awarding winners and prize-winners

Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings of the Regional Championship are awarded medals and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

9. Sports uniform and equipment.

Kozatskyi Biy uniform – the participants’ sports uniform must correspond to the traditional Kozatskyi Biy uniform:

• · divisions “Zabava”, “Bornya 1”, “Herts 1” – sharovary, vyshyvanka, or club T-shirt (in “Herts 1” for men – bare torso).
• · divisions “Bornya 2”, “Bornya 3”, “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” – MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt (in “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” for men – bare torso).

Sports gear and protective equipment:

• · divisions “Zabava”, “Bornya 1”, “Herts 1” – mouthguard, groin protector in a bandage, hand wraps (“Herts 1” mandatory, “Zabava”, “Bornya 1” optional), gloves (under 9 years – 8 oz, older – 10 oz), foot pads mandatory with closed heel, shin guards and helmet, for women and girls – chest protection.
• · Divisions “Bornya 2”, “Bornya 3”, “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” – mouthguard, groin protector in a bandage, hand wraps optional, gloves – open, for MMA “maXmix” brand 6 oz (WCFF licensed), socks with upper foot and shin protection, helmet, for women and girls – chest protection. In the “Herts 3” division helmet optional.

10. Conditions for financing the event and material support of participants

The costs of paying for judges’ catering are borne by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the KRSA, other costs – at the Federation’s expense.

Costs for travel of competition participants are at the expense of sending organizations.

Starting charity contribution per participant – 200 UAH. Additional division 50% (100 UAH).

11. Deadlines and procedure for submitting applications for participation in the Regional Championship

Preliminary applications for team participation in the Regional Championship are sent to email vladibor72@gmail.com, 0979545209 Volodymyr Radionov, 0679664461 Oleksandr Korniyaka.

For participation in the competitions, on the day of arrival the following are submitted to the credentials commission: named applications certified by the seal and signature of the management of structural subdivisions of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, regions, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, sports clubs and by the doctor of the sports medicine dispensary, a copy of the passport, classification books, insurance policies (valid for the duration of the competitions), identification code.

Teams and participants who have confirmed their participation within the set deadline are admitted to the competition.
