In many regions of Ukraine, qualifying tournaments are planned for the Ukrainian Cup among adults and the Ukrainian Championship among schoolchildren.
Regional tournaments are planned in Chernihiv, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, Rivne, Kherson and Kyiv regions. We offer the regulations of the events.

for holding the open championship of Kyiv region in Kozatskyi Biy
«In Memoryof the Heroes of the «Heavenly Hundred»
1. Goals and objectives
The Championship of Kyiv region in Kozatskyi Biy (hereinafter − Regional Championship) is held with the goal of:
– broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;
– military-patriotic and sports education of youth;
– further development of the sport “Kozatskyi Biy” and its popularization in the state;
– raising the level of skill of athletes;
– selection of the strongest athletes for the regional national team for participation in all-Ukrainian competitions;
– activation of training work in sports organizations;
– summing up the results of work in sports organizations;
– fulfillment of sports titles and ranks in Kozatskyi Biy according to the Unified Sports Classification of Ukraine.
2. Dates and venue of the competitions
The Regional Championship is held on 26 January 2019. Venue: Kyiv-Sviatoshyn district, v. Sviatopetrivske, Bilhorodska St., 26, SPK «Dobrovolets».
3. Organization and management of the competitions
The management of the organization and conduct of the competitions is carried out by the Physical Culture and Sports Department of the Kyiv Regional State Administration and the Kyiv Regional Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Biy” (hereinafter – Federation).
Responsibility for the preparation and direct conduct of the regional championship rests with the main judges’ panel formed by the Federation of Ukraine and the Kyiv Regional Sports Federation «Kozatskyi Biy».
4. Participants of the competitions
National teams of cities of the region, Kyiv, youth sports schools, specialized youth sports schools and sports clubs are admitted to participate in the Regional Championship, based on applications submitted in advance by 23 January 2019 to: vladibor72@gmail.com

Age categories of participants:
Adults – 19-40 years;
Juniors – 16-18 years;
Youths – 13-15 years;
Youths – 10-12 years;
Children – 7-9 years;
The uniform of the participants must comply with the requirements of the Rules of sports competitions in Kozatskyi Biy (hereinafter − Rules).
5. Nature of the event
The competitions are individual-team, held in accordance with the Rules.
6. Competition program
The Regional Championship is held on 26 January 2018. Venue: Kyiv-Sviatoshyn district, v. Sviatopetrivske, Bilhorodska St., 26, SPK «Dobrovolets».

8.00-10.00 – re-weighing of athletes according to preliminary applications;
10.00 – solemn opening of the competitions;
10.30-14.00 – preliminary, semifinal and final bouts in hand-to-hand divisions among youths and juniors;
14.00-18.00 – preliminary, semifinal and final bouts in hand-to-hand divisions among juniors and adults;
18.00 – awarding of winners.
Weight categories are not used for the divisions “Tan dvoboi” (self-defense) and “Odnotan” (technical complexes) in Kozatskyi Biy competitions. Athletes compete according to age groups.
Free-fight divisions (hand-to-hand): “Zabava”, “Bornya” and “Herts” which are held in weight and age categories.
“Zabava” – hand-to-hand with dosed contact (analog of point-fight, semi-contact).
“Bornya” – hand-to-hand with light contact:
- limited «Bornya 1» – analog of light contact;
- main «Bornya 2» – analog of light low-kick with throws and holds;
- free «Bornya 3» – analog of MMA-light.
- «Borotba» – analog of grappling.
“Herts” – hand-to-hand of real contact:
- limited «Herts 1» – analog of full contact;
- main «Herts 2» – analog of low-kick with throws and holds;
- free «Herts 3», analog of MMA.

7. Safety and preparation of competition venues
The preparation of competition venues is carried out in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 18 December 1998 No. 2025 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”.
8. Conditions for determining the championship and awarding winners and prize-winners
Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings of the Regional Championship are awarded with medals and diplomas of the Federation of corresponding degrees.
9. Conditions for financing the event and material support of participants
The expenses for paying for the judges’ meals are at the expense of the Physical Culture and Sports Department of the KORSA, other expenses – at the expense of the Federation.
The expenses for the trip of the participants are at the expense of the sending organizations. Starting charitable contribution from a participant – 200 UAH.
10. Sports uniform and equipment.
Uniform for Kozatskyi Biy – the sports uniform of the participants must comply with the traditional Kozatskyi Biy form:
- divisions «Zabava», «Bornya 1», «Herts 1» – sharovary, vyshyvanka or club T-shirt (in «Herts 1» division, men have bare torso).
- divisions «Bornya 2», «Bornya 3», «Herts 2», «Herts 3» – MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt (in «Herts 2», «Herts 3» divisions, men have bare torso).
Sports equipment and gear:
- divisions «Zabava», «Bornya 1», «Herts 1» – mouthguard, groin protector in bandage, hand wraps («Herts 1» mandatory, «Zabava», «Bornya 1» optional), hand gloves (up to 9 years – 8 ounces, older – 10 ounces), foot pads obligatorily with closed heel, shin protection and helmet, for women and girls – chest protection.
- Divisions «Bornya 2», «Bornya 3», «Herts 2», «Herts 3» – mouthguard, groin protector in bandage, hand wraps optional, hand gloves – open, for MMA of the trademark «maXmix» 6 ounces, foot wraps with protection of the upper foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls – chest protection. In «Herts 3» division – helmet optional.
11. Deadlines and procedure for submitting applications for participation in the Regional Championship
Preliminary applications for team participation in the Regional Championship are sent to the email vladibor72@gmail.com, 0979545209 Volodymyr Radionov, 0679664461 Oleksandr Korniyaka.
To participate in the competitions, the following are submitted to the credentials commission on the day of arrival: named applications certified by the seal and signature of the leadership of the structural subdivisions of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, regions, cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, sports clubs and the doctor of the sports medical dispensary, copy of passport, classification books, insurance policies (valid for the time of competitions), identification code.
Teams and participants that have confirmed their participation within the established deadline are allowed to compete.
