Ukraine Cup and All-Ukrainian Tournament in Kozatskyi Dvoboi
(adults, juniors, young men, children)

1. Goals and objectives
The Ukraine Cup and All-Ukrainian Tournament in Kozatskyi Dvoboi (adults, juniors, young men, children) “In Memory of the Heroes Fallen in the Russian-Ukrainian War” is held with the purpose of:
- broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;
- military-patriotic and sports education of youth;
- further development and popularization of the sport in the country;
- raising the skill level of athletes;
- selection of the strongest athletes for the Ukrainian national team for international competitions;
- intensifying training work in sports organizations;
- summarizing the work of sports organizations.
2. Dates and venue
The Ukraine Cup and All-Ukrainian Tournament is held from 11 to 14 October 2024 at the municipal institution “Rivne Lyceum No. 26”, address: Rivne, Nazara Nebozhynskoho Street 24.
3. Organization and leadership
The organization is led by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” (the Federation).
Responsibility for preparation and direct conduct rests with the Youth and Sports Department of the Volyn Regional State Administration and the refereeing panel formed by the Federation, with composition approved by the Ministry.
4. Participants
Admitted: regional teams of the AR Crimea, regions of Ukraine, cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol.
Team composition: unlimited.
Age groups:
Adults (men and women) – 19 years and older;
Juniors – 16–18 years;
Young men – 13–15 years;
Young men – 10–12 years;
Children – 7–9 years.
Qualification requirements: adults and juniors – not below 1st class; young men – not below 1st youth class.
5. Type of event
Individual and team competition, conducted under the Rules.

Held from 11 to 14 October 2024 at Rivne Lyceum No. 26.

14:00 – 18:00 – arrival, team registration, weigh-in;
18:00 – 19:00 – credentials committee meeting;
19:00 – 20:00 – refereeing panel meeting, referees’ seminar;
20:00 – 21:00 – official draw with team representatives.
12 October 2024
07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to venue;
08:30 – 09:00 – preparation of sports areas, equipment setup, refereeing briefing;
09:00 – nationwide moment of silence for compatriots killed by Russian Federation aggression against Ukraine;
09:00 – 13:00 – competition begins, preliminary bouts in all sections;
13:00 – 13:30 – official opening ceremony;
13:30 – 21:00 – preliminary and final bouts in all sections.
13 October 2024
09:00 – nationwide moment of silence;
09:00 – 17:00 – summary of competition, closing ceremony, departure of teams.
The Kozatskyi Dvoboi competition program includes the following events held in corresponding age and weight categories:
Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);
Tan dvoboi (technical bouts, self-defense demonstration);
Zabava 1 (hand-to-hand with measured contact, limited, semi-contact analog);
Bornya 1 (hand-to-hand with light contact, limited, light-contact analog);
Bornya 2 (hand-to-hand with light contact, basic, kick-light analog with low-kicks and throws);
Bornya 3 (hand-to-hand with light contact, free, MMA Light analog);
Wrestling (grappling analog);
Herts 1 (hand-to-hand with full contact, basic);
Herts 2 (hand-to-hand with full contact, K-1 analog with throws);
Herts 3 (hand-to-hand with full contact, free, MMA).

7. Safety and preparation of venues
Venues are prepared in accordance with Resolution No. 2025 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 18 December 1998.
8. Sports uniform and equipment
Kozatskyi Dvoboi uniform – participants’ uniform must correspond to the traditional Kozatskyi Dvoboi form:
- Sections «Zabava», «Bornya 1», «Herts 1» – sharovary trousers, vyshyvanka shirt or club t-shirt (in «Herts 1» men bare-chested).
- Sections «Bornya 2», «Bornya 3», «Herts 2», «Herts 3» – MMA shorts, rashguard or t-shirt (in «Herts 2», «Herts 3» men bare-chested).
Sports equipment and protective gear:
- «Zabava», «Bornya 1», «Herts 1» – mouthguard, groin protector in bandage, hand wraps («Herts 1» mandatory, «Zabava», «Bornya 1» optional), gloves (under 9 yrs – 8 oz, older – 10 oz), foot pads with closed heel mandatory, shin protection and helmet; chest protection for women and girls.
- «Bornya 2», «Bornya 3», «Herts 2», «Herts 3» – mouthguard, groin protector, wraps optional, open MMA-style gloves «maXmix» WCFF-licensed 6 oz, foot wraps with shin protection, helmet; chest protection for women. In «Herts 3» helmet optional.
- Gloves and helmet color according to corner color.
9. Determining placings and awards
Athletes placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd in individual rankings of the Ukraine Cup and All-Ukrainian Tournament receive medals and diplomas of the Federation of corresponding degrees.
Teams placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd in team rankings receive diplomas.
Team ranking is determined by the sum of points scored in the above events in the corresponding weight category.
10. Financing and material support
Organization expenses are covered from extra-budgetary funds raised by the Federation.
Travel of participants (transport, per diem, accommodation, meals, transportation of sports equipment) is covered by the sending organizations.
Starting charitable fee – 500 UAH per section.

Preliminary applications must be sent no later than 10 days before the start of the competition to the Federation email addresses:

For participation, the credentials committee on the day of arrival must be provided: personal applications certified by the seal and signature of the management of structural divisions of the AR Crimea, regions, cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, and by a sports medicine doctor; passport copy, classification books, insurance policies (valid for the competition period), tax ID number.
Only teams and participants who confirmed their participation within the set deadline are admitted.
This regulation is an official invitation to the competition.
