World Championship 2018

1. Goals and Objectives.

The World Championship of Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held with the aim of:

– popularization and further development of the sport of Kozatskyi Dvoboi in Ukraine and the World;

– raising the qualification level of athletes and judges.

2. Date, venue and competition program.

The World Championship of Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held under the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF).

6 December – day of arrival of teams;

7 December– day of registration of participants:

14:00 – 18:00 registration of teams, weighing of participants, registration of judges (Sports Palace “Lokomotyv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine, 61000);

18:00 – 19:00 – meeting of the credentials and medical commission (Sports Palace “Lokomotyv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine, 61000);

19:00 – 20:00 – meeting of the Referee Panel, referee seminar (Sports Palace “Lokomotyv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine, 61000);

20:00 – 21:00 – official draw of participants with the participation of team representatives (Sports Palace “Lokomotyv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine, 61000).

8 December – day of competition:

07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the venue – Sports Palace “Lokomotyv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine, 61000;

08:30 – 09:00 – setup of the rings, equipment and referee meeting;

09:00 – start of the competition;

09:00 – 14:00 – preliminary bouts in all divisions;

14:00 – official opening of the competition;

14:30 – 20:00 – continuation of preliminary bouts in all divisions

9 December – day of competition:

07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the venue – Sports Palace “Lokomotyv”, 90 Velyka Panasivska St., Kharkiv, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine, 61000;

08:30 – 09:00 – setup of the rings, equipment and referee meeting;

09:00 – start of the competition;

09:00 – 17:00 – final bouts in all divisions, awarding of winners.

3. Organization and management of the competition.

The World Championship of Kozatskyi Dvoboi is initiated by the World Cossack Fight Federation (hereinafter – WCFF) and the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation of Kozatskyi Dvoboi” (hereinafter – USFKD). The direct conduct of the competition is entrusted to WCFF and the head referee panel approved by the Presidium of WCFF.

4. Preparation of sports facilities.

In accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of 18 December 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”:

– preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;

– control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of the competition is carried out by the working commission set up by the relevant regional administration.

The owner of the sports facility, no later than 4 hours before the start of the competition, is obliged to submit a certificate of facility readiness to the working commission.

Failure to comply with the requirements of this clause that has caused emergency circumstances during the competition entails liability.

5. Competition participants.

5.1. Athletes from national teams are admitted to the World Championship of Kozatskyi Dvoboi on the basis of preliminary applications submitted by 29 November 2018 to the WCFF address (vladibor72@gmail.com).

5.2. Each team of more than 10 athletes must have one referee at the expense of the sending organization.

5.3. All judges must have accident insurance and a medical certificate.

5.4. The competition is held in accordance with the current international competition rules of Kozatskyi Dvoboi approved by WCFF and the Ministry.

5.5. All participants must have: a passport, accident insurance; Masters of Sport, International Masters of Sport, Honored Masters of Sport of Ukraine must also have certificates;

5.6. The competition is held in the following age groups, weight categories and divisions:

Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);

Tan dvoboi (technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques, selfdefense);

Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand combat with dosed contact, limited, analog of semi-contact);

Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand combat with light contact, limited, analog of light-contact);

Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand combat with light contact, basic, analog of kick-light with low kicks and throws);

Wrestling (analog of grappling)

Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand combat with light contact, free, analog of MMA Light);

Herts-1 (hand-to-hand combat with real contact, basic, full-contact);

Herts-2 (hand-to-hand combat with real contact, basic, analog of K-1 with throws);

Herts-3 (hand-to-hand combat with real contact, free, MMA).

6. Financial conditions of the competition

Coverage of expenses for the organization and conduct of the competition is provided by extra-budgetary income. Costs of participation are borne by the sending parties.

Charitable entry fee for USFKD members – UAH 500 adults, UAH 400 children, youths and juniors.

7.Awards.

Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings at the World Championship are awarded with medals and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

Teams that took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the team standings at the World Championship are awarded with cups and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

Team standings are determined by the sum of points scored in the above-listed competition types in the relevant weight category.

8. Sports uniform and equipment.

Dress code of Kozatskyi Dvoboi – the participants’ sports uniform must correspond to the traditional uniform of Kozatskyi Dvoboi:

• divisions «Zabava», «Bornya-1», «Herts-1» – sharovary, vyshyvanka, or club T-shirt (in the «Herts-1» division for men torso bare).
• divisions «Bornya-2», «Bornya-3», «Herts-2», «Herts-3» MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt (in the «Herts-2», «Herts-3» divisions for men torso bare).

Sports gear and protective equipment:

• divisions «Zabava», «Bornya-1», «Herts-1» – mouthguard, groin cup in a bandage, hand wraps («Herts-1» mandatory, «Zabava», «Bornya-1» optional), hand gloves (up to 9 years – 8 oz, older – 10 oz), foot guards mandatory with closed heel, shin guards and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
• Divisions «Bornya-2», «Bornya-3», «Herts-2», «Herts-3» – mouthguard, groin cup in a bandage, hand wraps optional, hand gloves – open, for MMA “maXmix” brand 6 oz, stockings with protection of the upper foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In the «Herts-3» division helmet is optional.

9. Applications

Preliminary applications for the participation of teams in the competition are submitted by 29 November 2018 to the email vladibor72@gmail.com

• each team representative must submit to the credentials commission a name list of the athletes participating in the competition, in the established form, with all items filled in,certified by the structural units of the regional departments of physical culture and sport, the structures managing physical culture and sport in the relevant countries, the WCFF-representative federations in the relevant countries.
• name applications must be certified by a doctor of the sports medical dispensary or a medical institution of the relevant country and by the sending organization.

Passports, athletes’ classification books, and insurance policies are submitted to the credentials commission of the competition on the day of arrival.
