European Championshipin Kozatskyi Biy

(adults, juniors, youth)

April 22-24, 2021

1. Goals and objectives.

The European Championship in Kozatskyi Biy is held with the aim of:

• broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;
• military-patriotic and sports education of youth;
• popularization and further development of the sport “Kozatskyi Biy” in Ukraine and the world;
• raising the qualification level of athletes and judges.
• fulfillment of sports titles in Kozatskyi Biy according to ESCU.

2. Date, venue and competition program.

The European Championship in Kozatskyi Biy is held according to the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF).

22 April — day of arrival of teams and registration of participants:

14:00 – 17:00 team registration, weighing of participants, registration of judges (Lokomotyv Sports Palace, 90 Velyka Panasivska Street, Kharkiv, Kharkiv Region, Ukraine, 61000);

17:00 – 19:00 – meeting of the credentials and medical commission (Lokomotyv Sports Palace, 90 Velyka Panasivska Street, Kharkiv, Kharkiv Region, Ukraine, 61000);

19:00 – 20:00 – meeting of the Judging Panel, judges’ seminar (Lokomotyv Sports Palace, 90 Velyka Panasivska Street, Kharkiv, Kharkiv Region, Ukraine, 61000);

20:00 – 21:00 – official draw of participants with the participation of team representatives (Lokomotyv Sports Palace, 90 Velyka Panasivska Street, Kharkiv, Kharkiv Region, Ukraine, 61000).

April 23 — competition day:

07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the venue of the competition – Lokomotyv Sports Palace, 90 Velyka Panasivska Street, Kharkiv, Kharkiv Region, Ukraine, 61000;

08:30 – 09:00 – arrangement of grounds, equipment setup and judges’ meeting;

09:00 – start of competitions;

09:00 – 14:00 – preliminary performances in all sections;

14:00 – official opening of the competition;

14:30 – 20:00 – continuation of preliminary performances in all sections, final Dvoboi in all sections, awarding of competition winners.

3. Organization and management of the competition.

The European Championship in Kozatskyi Biy is initiated by the World Cossack Fight Federation (hereinafter – WCFF) and NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation Kozatskyi Biy” (hereinafter – USFKD). The direct conduct of the competition is assigned to the WCFF and the main judging panel approved by the Presidium of the WCFF.

4. Preparation of sports facilities.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”:

– the preparation of sports facilities is assigned to their owners;

– control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of the competition is carried out by the working commission formed by the corresponding regional administration.

The owner of the sports facility is obliged to submit an act to the working commission on the readiness of the facility for the competition no less than 4 hours before the start of the competition.

Failure to comply with the requirements provided for in this clause, which caused the occurrence of emergency circumstances during the competition, entails responsibility.

5. Competition participants.

5.1. Athletes of national teams of countries are admitted to the European Championship in Kozatskyi Biy on the basis of preliminary applications submitted by April 17, 2021, to the WCFF address vladibor72@gmail.com, ploxix111@rambler.ru

5.2. Each team whose composition exceeds 10 athletes must have one judge at the expense of the sending organization.

5.3. All judges must have an accident insurance policy and a medical certificate.

5.4. The competition is held according to the current international competition rules in Kozatskyi Biy approved by the WCFF and the Ministry.

5.5. All participants must have: a passport, an accident insurance policy, and MS, MSMK, ZMSU must also have a certificate;

5.6. The competition is held in the following age groups, weight categories and sections:

Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);

Tan dvoboi (technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques, selfdefense);

Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand with restricted dosed contact, analog of semi-contact);

Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand with restricted light contact, analog of light-contact);

Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand with main light contact, analog of kick-light with low-kick and throws);

Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand with free light contact, analog of MMA Light);

Wrestling (analog of grappling)

Herts-1 (hand-to-hand with main real contact, full-contact);

Herts-2 (hand-to-hand with main real contact, analog of K-1 with throws);

Herts-3 (hand-to-hand with free real contact, MMA).

Weight categories for the “Herts-3” (MMA) section

Odnotan and Tan dvoboi – according to age groups.

6. Financial conditions for the competition

The coverage of expenses for the organization and conduct of the competition is provided at the expense of extra-budgetary revenues. Expenses for participation in the competition are provided at the expense of the parties sending athletes.

Charitable starting fee for USFKD members – 500 UAH per section.

7. Awarding.

Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings at the European Championship are awarded with medals and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

Teams that took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the team standings at the European Championship are awarded with cups and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

The team championship is determined by the sum of points scored in the above-mentioned types of competitions in the corresponding weight category.

8. Sports uniform and equipment.

Uniform for Kozatskyi Biy — the sports uniform of the participants must correspond to the traditional uniform of Kozatskyi Biy:

• · sections “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Herts-1” – sharovary, vyshyvanka, or club T-shirt (in the “Herts-1” section for men torso is bare).
• · sections “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” — MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt (in the “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” sections for men torso is bare).

Sports equipment and gear:

• · sections “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Herts-1” – mouthguard, groin cup in a bandage, hand wraps (“Herts-1” mandatory, “Zabava”, “Bornya-1” optional), hand gloves (up to 9 years – 8 ounces, older – 10 ounces), foot pads mandatory with closed heel, shin protection and helmet, for women and girls breast protection.
• · Sections “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” — mouthguard, groin cup in a bandage, hand wraps optional, hand gloves — open, for MMA of the “maXmix” brand 6 ounces (licensed by WCFF), foot socks with protection of the upper part of the foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls breast protection. In the “Herts-3” section helmet is optional.
• · Gloves and helmet according to the color of the corner.

9. Applications

Preliminary applications for team participation in the competition are submitted by April 17 2021 to the e-mail vladibor72@gmail.com, ploxix111@rambler.ru

• each team representative must submit to the credentials commission a nominal application for athletes who participate in the competition, of the established sample, with all items filled in,certified by structural units of regional departments of physical culture and sports, structures that manage in the field of physical culture and sports in the respective countries, federations-representatives of WCFF in the respective countries.
• by the sending organization, nominal applications must be certified by a doctor of the sports-medical dispensary or a medical institution of the corresponding country.
• certificates with the results of rapid testing for the determination of antigen to the COVID-19 virus, on an official letterhead certified by the seal.

Passports, classification books of athletes, insurance policy are submitted to the credentials commission of the competition on the day of arrival.
