REGULATIONS

of the World Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi

(adults, juniors, youths)

December 12-15, 2021

1. Goal and Objectives.

The World Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held with the purpose of:

• popularization and further development of the sport “Kozatskyi Dvoboi” in Ukraine and worldwide;
• raising the qualification level of athletes and judges;
• broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;
• military-patriotic and sports education of youth;
• raising the level of athletes’ skill;
• activation of educational and training work in sports organizations;
• summarizing the work in sports organizations.

2. Date, Venue and Competition Program.

The World Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is held according to the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF).

December 11 – day of teams’ arrival;

December 12– day of participants’ registration:

14:00 – 18:00 team registration, weighing of participants, judges’ registration (Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, Velyka Panasivska Street, 90, Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine, 61000);

18:00 – 19:00 – meeting of the mandate and medical commission (Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, Velyka Panasivska Street, 90, Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine, 61000);

19:00 – 20:00 – meeting of the Panel of Judges, judges’ seminar (Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, Velyka Panasivska Street, 90, Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine, 61000);

20:00 – 21:00 – official draw of participants with the participation of team representatives (Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, Velyka Panasivska Street, 90, Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine, 61000).

December 13 – day of competitions:

07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue – Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, Velyka Panasivska Street, 90, Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine, 61000;

08:30 – 09:00 – arrangement of sports areas, equipment setup and judges’ briefing;

09:00 – start of competitions;

09:00 – 14:00 – preliminary performances in all divisions;

14:00 – solemn opening of the competitions;

14:30 – 20:00 – continuation of preliminary performances in all divisions

December 14 – day of competitions:

07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue – Sports Palace “Lokomotiv”, Velyka Panasivska Street, 90, Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine, 61000;

08:30 – 09:00 – arrangement of sports areas, equipment setup and judges’ briefing;

09:00 – start of competitions;

09:00 – 17:00 – final fights in all divisions, awarding of competition winners.

3. Organization and management of the competitions.

The World Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi is initiated by the World Cossack Fight Federation (hereinafter – WCFF) and NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation ‘Kozatskyi Dvoboi’” (hereinafter – USFKD). The direct conduct of the competitions is the responsibility of the WCFF and the main panel of judges, approved by the WCFF Presidium.

4. Preparation of sports facilities.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for the preparation of sports facilities and other specially designated places for mass sports and cultural events”:

– preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;

– control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of the competitions is carried out by a working commission established by the relevant regional administration.

The owner of the sports facility, no less than 4 hours before the start of the competitions, is obliged to submit to the working commission an act on the readiness of the facility for the competition.

Failure to comply with the requirements provided in this paragraph, which caused the occurrence of emergency circumstances during the competitions, entails liability.

5. Competition participants.

5.1. Athletes of national teams of countries are admitted to the World Championship in Kozatskyi Dvoboi on the basis of preliminary applications submitted by December 7, 2021, to the address of WCFF (vladibor72@gmail.com).

5.2. Each team whose composition exceeds 10 athletes must have one judge at the expense of the sending organization.

5.3. All judges must have an accident insurance policy and a medical certificate.

5.4. The competitions are held in accordance with the current international competition rules of Kozatskyi Dvoboi, approved by the WCFF and the Ministry.

5.5. All participants must have: passport, accident insurance policy, and MS, MSMK, ZMSU must also have certificates;

5.6. The competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories and divisions:

Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);

Tan dvoboi (technical fights, demonstration of self-defense techniques, selfdefense);

Zabava 1 (hand-to-hand with metered touch limited, analogous to semi-contact);

Bornya 1 (hand-to-hand with light touch limited, analogous to light-contact);

Bornya 2 (hand-to-hand with light touch main, analogous to kick-light with low-kicks and throws);

Wrestling (analogous to grappling)

Bornya 3 (hand-to-hand with light touch free, analogous to MMA Light);

Herts 1 (hand-to-hand with real touch main, full-contact);

Herts 2 (hand-to-hand with real touch main, analogous to K-1 with throws);

Herts 3 (hand-to-hand with real touch free, MMA).

Weight categories for the “Zabava”, “Bornya”, “Wrestling” divisions

Weight categories for the “Herts 1” and “Herts 2” divisions

Weight categories for the “Herts 3” division

Odnotan(FTC, FTK) and Tan dvoboi (FTC, FTK) – according to age groups.

6. Financial Conditions of the Competitions

Coverage of the costs of organizing and conducting the competitions is provided by extra-budgetary revenues. Costs of participation in the competitions are covered by the parties sending athletes.

Entry/charity contribution (for USFKD members) – 500 UAH.

7.Awards.

Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings at the World Championship are awarded medals and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

Teams that took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the team standings at the World Championship are awarded cups and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

The team championship is determined by the sum of points scored in the above-mentioned competition types in the corresponding weight category.

8. Sports uniform and equipment.

Uniform for Kozatskyi Dvoboi – the participants’ sports uniform must correspond to the traditional Kozatskyi Dvoboi uniform:

• divisions “Zabava”, “Bornya 1”, “Herts 1” – sharovary (Cossack trousers), vyshyvanka, or club T-shirt (“Herts 1” division for men – bare torso).
• divisions “Bornya 2”, “Bornya 3”, “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” – MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt (“Herts 2”, “Herts 3” divisions for men – bare torso).

Sports equipment and gear:

• divisions “Zabava”, “Bornya 1”, “Herts 1” – mouthguard, groin cup with bandage, hand wraps (“Herts 1” mandatory, “Zabava”, “Bornya 1” optional), hand gloves (under 9 years – 8 ounces, older – 10 ounces), foot protectors mandatory with closed heel, shin protection and helmet, chest protection for women and girls.
• Divisions “Bornya 2”, “Bornya 3”, “Herts 2”, “Herts 3” – mouthguard, groin cup with bandage, hand wraps optional, hand gloves – open, for MMA “maXmix” brand 6 ounces, stockings with protection of upper foot and shin, helmet, chest protection for women and girls. In the “Herts 3” division, helmet is optional.
• Gloves and helmets strictly in the color of the corner.

9. Applications

Preliminary applications for participation of teams in the competitions are submitted by 5 December 2021 by email vladibor72@gmail.com

• each team representative must submit to the mandate commission a nominal application for athletes participating in the competitions, of the established form, with all items filled in,certified by structural divisions of regional offices of physical culture and sports, by structures responsible for management in the field of physical culture and sports in the respective countries, by federations-representatives of WCFF in the respective countries.
• by the sending organization, nominal applications must be certified by a doctor of a sports medical dispensary or a medical institution of the respective country.

• Vaccination certificate, or a certificate with the results of express testing for the determination of the COVID-19 virus antigen, on an official letterhead certified with a seal.

Passports, athletes’ classification books, insurance policy, identification code are submitted to the mandate commission of the competitions on the day of arrival.
