Regulations

for holding the Championship of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi among adults, juniors, youths, and children

1. Goals and objectives

The Championship of Ukraine in Kozatskyi Dvoboi (hereinafter − Championship of Ukraine) is held with the goal of:

• broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports activities;
• military-patriotic and sports upbringing of youth;
• further development of the sport and its popularization in the country;
• raising the level of mastery of athletes;
• selection of stronger athletes for the national team of Ukraine for participation in international competitions (Cup of Europe, Plock, Poland, 6-11 November and World Championship, Kharkiv, Ukraine, 10-14 December 2019);
• intensifying training and coaching work in sports organizations;
• summing up the results of work in sports organizations;
• fulfilment of sports titles in Kozatskyi Dvoboi according to USCU.

2. Dates and venue of the competitions

The Championship of Ukraine is held on 11 − 14 October 2019 at the sports complex of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the M. P. Drahomanov National Pedagogical University at the address: Kyiv,
3/9 Turhenievska St.

3. Organization and management of the competitions

The management of the organization and conduct of the competitions is carried out by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Dvoboi”
(hereinafter – the Federation).

Responsibility for the preparation and direct conduct of the Championship of Ukraine is entrusted to the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Kyiv City State Administration and to the judging panel formed by the Federation, the composition of which is approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

4. Participants of the competitions

National teams of the AR of Crimea, regions, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol are admitted to participate in the Championship of Ukraine.

Team composition: unlimited.

Age categories of competition participants:

adults (men or women) – 19 years and older.

Juniors – 16-18 years;

Youths – 13-15 years;

Youths – 10-12 years;

Children – 7-9 years.

Uniform of competition participants, in accordance with the requirements of the Rules of sports competitions in Kozatskyi Dvoboi (hereinafter − the Rules).

Qualification level for admission to the competitions (by classification):

Adults – not lower than 1st rank;

Juniors, youths, children – not lower than 2nd rank

5. Nature of the event

Competitions are individual-team, held in accordance with the Rules.

6. Program of the competitions

The Championship of Ukraine is held on 11 − 14 October 2019 at the sports complex of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the M. P. Drahomanov National Pedagogical University at the address: Kyiv,

Program of the competitions:

11 October – day of teams’ arrival, day of participants’ registration:

14:00 – 18:00 team registration, weighing of participants, registration of referees;

18:00 – 19:00 – meeting of the credentials and medical commission;

19:00 – 20:00 – meeting of the Judging Panel, referees’ seminar;

20:00 – 21:00 – official draw of participants with the participation of team representatives.

12 October– competition day:

07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the venue;

08:30 – 09:00 – setting up sports platforms, equipment configuration, and referees’ briefing;

09:00 – start of the competitions

09:00 – 13:00 – preliminary performances in the «dvoboi» sections;

13:00 – official opening of the competitions;

13:30 – 21:00 – continuation of preliminary performances, semi-final bouts;

13 October – competition day:

07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the venue;

08:30 – 09:00 – setting up sports platforms, equipment configuration, and referees’ briefing;

09:00 – start of the competitions, final bouts in all sections, awarding of competition winners.

14 October

summing up the competition results, departure of teams.

The program of Kozatskyi Dvoboi competitions includes the following types of competitions held in the corresponding age and weight categories, in particular:

Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);

Tan dvoboi (technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);

Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand with limited measured contact, analog of semi-contact);

Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand with limited light contact, analog of light-contact);

Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand with main light contact, analog of kick-light with low-kick and throws);

Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand with free light contact, analog of MMA Light);

Wrestling (analog of grappling);

Herts-1 (hand-to-hand with main real contact, full-contact);

Herts-2 (hand-to-hand with main real contact, analog of K-1 with throws);

Herts-3 (hand-to-hand with free real contact, MMA).

7. Safety and preparation of competition venues

Preparation of competition venues is carried out in accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of 18 December 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”.

8. Conditions for determining the championship and awarding winners and prize-winners

Athletes who placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd in the individual standings at the Championship of Ukraine are awarded with medals and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

Teams that placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd in the team standings at the Championship of Ukraine are awarded with cups and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.

The team championship is determined by the sum of points scored in the above-listed types of competitions in the corresponding weight category.

9. Sports uniform and equipment.

Uniform for Kozatskyi Dvoboi – the athletes’ sports uniform must correspond to the traditional uniform of Kozatskyi Dvoboi:

• · sections «Zabava», «Bornya-1», «Herts-1» – sharovary, vyshyvanka, or club T-shirt («Herts-1» for men, bare torso).
• · sections «Bornya-2», «Bornya-3», «Herts-2», «Herts-3» MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt («Herts-2», «Herts-3» for men, bare torso).

Sports gear and equipment:

• · sections «Zabava», «Bornya-1», «Herts-1» – mouth guard, groin shell in a bandage, wraps («Herts-1» mandatory, «Zabava», «Bornya-1» optional), hand gloves (under 9 years – 8 oz, older – 10 oz), feet protectors mandatory with closed heel, shin guards and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
• · Sections «Bornya-2», «Bornya-3», «Herts-2», «Herts-3» – mouth guard, groin shell in a bandage, wraps optional, hand gloves – open, for MMA brand «maXmix» 6 oz (licensed by WCFF), stockings with protection of the upper part of the foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In the «Herts-3» section, helmet optional.
• · Gloves and helmet according to the corner color.

10. Conditions of event financing and material support of participants

Expenses for organizing and holding the Championship of Ukraine are covered by the Federation.

Participation in the competitions is at the expense of the sending organizations.

Starting charitable fee per participant – 400 UAH.

11. Deadlines and procedure for submitting applications for participation in the Championship of Ukraine

Preliminary applications for team participation in the Championship of Ukraine are sent no later than 7 days before the start of the competitions to the e-mail address of the Federation vladibor72@gmail.com, contact phones: +38 097 954 52 09 – Radionov Volodymyr Anatoliiovych; organizational questions +38 067 966 44 61 – Korniiaka Oleksandr Volodymyrovych.

For participation in the competitions, the following are submitted to the credentials committee on the day of arrival: nominal applications, certified with seal and signature of the management of structural subdivisions of the AR of Crimea, regions, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, and by a doctor of the medical and physical culture dispensary, copy of passport, classification books, insurance policies (valid during the competitions), identification code.

Teams and participants who confirmed their participation within the prescribed period are admitted to the competitions.
