In many regions of Ukraine, qualifying tournaments for the Cup of Ukraine among adults and the Championship of Ukraine among schoolchildren are planned.
Regional tournaments are planned in Chernihiv, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, Rivne, Kherson and Kyiv regions. We offer the regulations of the events.

for holding the Open Championship of Kyiv Region in Kozatskyi Biy
«In memory of the Heroes of the «Heavenly Hundred»
1. Goals and objectives
The Championship of Kyiv Region in Kozatskyi Biy (hereinafter – Regional Championship) is held with the aim of:
-broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;
-military-patriotic and sports education of youth;
-further development of the sport “Kozatskyi Biy” and its popularization in the state;
-improving the level of athletes’ skill;
-selection of the strongest athletes for the regional team to participate in all-Ukrainian competitions;
-intensification of educational and training work in sports organizations;
-summarizing the work in sports organizations;
– fulfillment of sports titles and ranks in Kozatskyi Biy according to the Unified Sports Classification of Ukraine.
2. Dates and venue of the competition
The Regional Championship is held on 26 January 2019. Venue: Kyiv-Sviatoshyn District, Sviatopetrivske village, Bilhorodska St., 26, SPK “Dobrovolets”.
3. Organization and management of the competition
The organization and conduct of the competition is managed by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Kyiv Regional State Administration and the Kyiv Regional Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Biy” (hereinafter – Federation).
Responsibility for preparation and direct conduct of the Regional Championship lies with the main panel of judges formed by the Federation of Ukraine and the Kyiv Regional Sports Federation “Kozatskyi Biy”.
4. Participants
National teams of cities of the region, Kyiv, DYUSSH, KDYUSSH and sports clubs are admitted to participate in the Regional Championship, on the basis of preliminary applications submitted by 23 January 2019, to the address: vladibor72@gmail.com

Age categories of participants:
Adults – 19-40 years;
Juniors – 16-18 years;
Youth – 13-15 years;
Youth – 10-12 years;
Children – 7-9 years;
The uniform of the participants must conform to the requirements of the Rules of sports competitions in Kozatskyi Biy (hereinafter – Rules).
5. Nature of the event
The competition is individual-team, held in accordance with the Rules.
6. Competition program
The Regional Championship is held on 26 January 2018. Venue: Kyiv-Sviatoshyn District, Sviatopetrivske village, Bilhorodska St., 26, SPK “Dobrovolets”.

8:00 – 10:00 – re-weighing of athletes according to preliminary applications;
10:00 – ceremonial opening of the competition;
10:30 – 14:00 – preliminary, semi-final and final bouts in the hand-to-hand combat sections among youth and juniors;
14:00 – 18:00 – preliminary, semi-final and final bouts in the hand-to-hand combat sections among juniors and adults;
18:00 – awarding the winners of the competition.
Weight categories for the “Tan dvoboi” (self-defense) and “Odnotan” (technical complexes) sections are not applied in Kozatskyi Biy competitions. Athletes compete according to age groups.
Free combat sections (hand-to-hand): “Zabava”, “Bornya” and “Herts” which are held in weight and age categories.
“Zabava” – hand-to-hand combat with dosed contact (analog of point-fight, semi-contact).
“Bornya” – hand-to-hand combat with light contact:
- limited “Bornya 1” – analog of light contact;
- main “Bornya 2” – analog of light low-kick with throws and holds;
- free “Bornya 3” – analog of MMA-light.
- “Wrestling” – analog of grappling.
“Herts” – hand-to-hand combat with real contact:
- limited “Herts 1” – analog of full contact;
- main “Herts 2” – analog of low-kick with throws and holds;
- free “Herts 3”, analog of MMA.

7. Safety and preparation of competition venues
Preparation of competition venues is carried out in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 18 December 1998 No. 2025 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for mass sports and cultural events”.
8. Conditions for determining championship and awarding winners and prize-winners
Athletes who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in individual standings at the Regional Championship are awarded medals and diplomas of the Federation of the corresponding degrees.
9. Conditions of financing the event and material support of participants
Expenses for judges’ meals are covered by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of KORDA, other expenses – at the Federation’s expense.
Expenses for participants’ travel are covered by the sending organizations. Charitable entry fee per participant – 200 UAH.
10. Sports uniform and equipment.
Kozatskyi Biy uniform – the sports uniform of participants must conform to the traditional uniform of Kozatskyi Biy:
- sections “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Herts-1” – sharovary (wide pants), vyshyvanka, or club T-shirt (in “Herts-1” section men have bare torso).
- sections “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” – MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt (in “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” sections men have bare torso).
Sports equipment and protective gear:
- sections “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Herts-1” – mouth guard, groin shell in bandage, hand wraps (“Herts-1” mandatory, “Zabava”, “Bornya-1” optional), hand gloves (under 9 years – 8 oz, older – 10 oz), foot pads mandatory with closed heel, shin protection and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
- Sections “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Herts-2”, “Herts-3” – mouth guard, groin shell in bandage, hand wraps optional, open hand gloves, MMA brand “maXmix” 6 oz, stockings with protection of the upper foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In “Herts-3” section helmet is optional.
11. Terms and procedure for submitting applications to participate in the Regional Championship
Preliminary applications for the team’s participation in the Regional Championship are sent to the email vladibor72@gmail.com, 0979545209 Volodymyr Radionov, 0679664461 Oleksandr Korniiaka.
For participation in the competition, the following documents are submitted to the mandate commission on the day of arrival: nominal applications certified by the seal and signature of the leadership of the structural divisions of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, regions, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, sports clubs and by a doctor of the sports-medical dispensary, a copy of the passport, classification books, insurance policies (valid for the duration of the competition), identification code.
Teams and participants who have confirmed their participation within the established term are admitted to the competition.
