World Cup of Cossack Fight

(adults, juniors, youth)

June 1-4, 2018

Odesa

1. Purpose and objectives.

The World Cup of Cossack Fight is held with the aim of:

– popularizing and further developing the sport “Cossack Fight” in Ukraine and the world;

– improving the qualification level of athletes and judges.

2. Date, venue, and competition program.

The World Cup of Cossack Fight is held according to the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF).

June 1– arrival day of teams and registration of participants:

14:00 – 18:00 team registration, participant weigh-in, judge registration (sports and health complex “University” of the National University “Odesa Law Academy”, at the address: Odesa, 8th station of the Big Fountain, Novoberegova St., 94);

18:00 – 19:00 – meeting of the mandate and medical commission (sports and health complex “University” of the National University “Odesa Law Academy”, at the address: Odesa, 8th station of the Big Fountain, Novoberegova St., 94);

19:00 – 20:00 – meeting of the Judges’ Panel, judges’ seminar (sports and health complex “University” of the National University “Odesa Law Academy”, at the address: Odesa, 8th station of the Big Fountain, Novoberegova St., 94);

20:00 – 21:00 – official draw of participants with the participation of team representatives (sports and health complex “University” of the National University “Odesa Law Academy”, at the address: Odesa, 8th station of the Big Fountain, Novoberegova St., 94).

June 2 – competition day:

07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue – Sports and health complex “University” of the National University “Odesa Law Academy”, at the address: Odesa, 8th station of the Big Fountain, Novoberegova St., 94;

08:30 – 09:00 – setting up the venues, equipment setup, and judges’ meeting;

09:00 – start of competitions;

09:00 – 14:00 – preliminary performances in the “duel” sections;

14:00 – official opening of the competitions;

14:30 – 18:00 – continuation of preliminary performances in the “duel” sections.

June 3 – competition day:

07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue – Sports and health complex “University” of the National University “Odesa Law Academy”, at the address: Odesa, 8th station of the Big Fountain, Novoberegova St., 94;

08:30 – 09:00 – setting up the venues, equipment setup, and judges’ meeting;

09:00 – start of competitions;

09:00 – 18:00 – final duels in all sections, awarding of competition winners;

June 4 – summarizing the results of the competitions, departure of teams.

3. Organization and management of the competition.

The World Cup of Cossack Fight is initiated by the World Cossack Fight Federation (hereinafter – WCFF) and the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation “Cossack Fight” (hereinafter – USFCF). The direct conduct of the competitions is entrusted to the WCFF and the main judges’ panel, approved by the WCFF Presidium.

4. Preparation of sports facilities.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 dated December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural events”:

– the preparation of sports facilities is entrusted to their owners;

– control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of competitions is carried out by a working commission formed by the relevant regional administration.

The owner of the sports facility is obliged to submit an act to the working commission on the readiness of the facility for the competition at least 4 hours before the start of the competition.

Failure to comply with the requirements provided for in this paragraph, which caused the occurrence of extraordinary circumstances during the competition, entails responsibility.

5. Participants of the competition.

5.1. Athletes of national teams of countries are allowed to participate in the World Cup of Cossack Fight based on preliminary applications submitted by May 25, 2018, to the WCFF address (vladibor72@gmail.com).

5.2. Each team consisting of more than 10 athletes must have one judge at the expense of the sending organization.

5.3. All judges must have accident insurance and a medical certificate.

5.4. The competitions are held according to the current international competition rules of Cossack Fight, approved by the WCFF and the Ministry.

5.5. All participants must have: a passport, accident insurance, and MS, MSMK, ZMSU must also have a certificate;

5.6. The competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories, and sections:

Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);

Tan-duel (technical matches, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);

Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand with limited touch, semi-contact analog);

Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand with light touch, light-contact analog);

Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand with light touch, main, kick-light with low kick and throws analog);

Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand with light touch, free, MMA Light analog);

Gerts-1 (hand-to-hand with real touch, main, full-contact);

Gerts-2 (hand-to-hand with real touch, main, K-1 with throws analog);

Gerts-3 (hand-to-hand with real touch, free, MMA).

Weight categories for sections “Gerts-1” and “Gerts-2”

Weight categories for section “Gerts-3”

Odnotan and Tan-duel – according to age groups.

6. Financial conditions for the competition

The costs of organizing and conducting the competitions are expected to be covered by non-budgetary revenues. The costs of travel and participation in the competitions are expected to be covered by the parties sending the athletes.

7.Awards.

Athletes who take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the individual standings at the World Cup are awarded medals and diplomas of the Federation of the respective degrees.

Teams that take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the team standings at the World Cup are awarded cups and diplomas of the Federation of the respective degrees.

The team championship is determined by the sum of points scored in the above-mentioned types of competitions in the respective weight category.

8. Sportswear and equipment.

Cossack Fight clothing – participants’ sportswear must correspond to the traditional form of Cossack Fight:

• · sections “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Gerts-1” – trousers, embroidered shirt, or club T-shirt (section “Gerts-1” for men bare torso).
• · sections “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Gerts-2”, “Gerts-3” shorts for MMA, rashguard or T-shirt (section “Gerts-2”, “Gerts-3” for men bare torso).

Sports equipment and gear:

• · sections “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Gerts-1” – mouthguard, groin guard in a bandage, wraps (“Gerts-1” mandatory, “Zabava”, “Bornya-1” optional), gloves on hands (up to 9 years – 8 ounces, older – 10 ounces), foot protectors with closed heel, shin protection and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
• · Sections “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Gerts-2”, “Gerts-3” – mouthguard, groin guard in a bandage, wraps optional, gloves on hands – open, for MMA brand “maXmix” 6 ounces (licensed by WCFF), stockings with protection of the upper part of the foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In the section “Gerts-3” helmet optional.

9. Applications

Preliminary applications for team participation in the competitions are submitted by May 25 2018 year to the email vladibor72@gmail.com, ploxix111@rambler.ru

• each team representative must submit to the mandate commission a personal application for athletes participating in the competitions, in the established form, with all points filled in, certified by the structural subdivisions of the regional departments of physical culture and sports, structures that manage in the field of physical culture and sports in the respective countries, federations-representatives of the WCFF in the respective countries.
• the sending organization must have the personal applications certified by a doctor of the physical culture and sports dispensary or a medical institution of the respective country.

Passports, classification books of athletes, insurance policy are submitted to the mandate commission of the competition on the day of arrival.
