EuropeanChampionship of Cossack Fight
(adults, juniors, youth)

1. Purpose and objectives.
The European Championship of Cossack Fight is held with the aim of:
– popularizing and further developing the sport “Cossack Fight” in Ukraine and the World;
– improving the qualification level of athletes and judges.
2. Date, venue, and competition program.
The European Championship of Cossack Fight is held according to the competition rules of the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF).
April 26 – arrival day of the teams;
April 27– registration day for participants:
14:00 – 17:00 team registration, participant weigh-in, judge registration (Kharkiv, pr. Petra Hryhorenka, 2 – KP “Kharkiv Palace of Sports”);
17:00 – 19:00 – meeting of the mandate and medical commission (Kharkiv, pr. Petra Hryhorenka, 2 – KP “Kharkiv Palace of Sports”);
19:00 – 20:00 – meeting of the Judges’ Board, judges’ seminar (Kharkiv, pr. Petra Hryhorenka, 2 – KP “Kharkiv Palace of Sports”);
20:00 – 21:00 – official draw of participants with team representatives (Kharkiv, pr. Petra Hryhorenka, 2 – KP “Kharkiv Palace of Sports”).
April 28 – competition day:
07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue – Kharkiv, pr. Petra Hryhorenka, 2 – KP “Kharkiv Palace of Sports”;
08:30 – 09:00 – setting up the venues, equipment setup, and judges’ meeting;
09:00 – start of competitions;
09:00 – 14:00 – preliminary performances in all sections;
14:00 – official opening of the competitions;
14:30 – 20:00 – continuation of preliminary performances in all sections
April 29 – competition day:
07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue – Kharkiv, pr. Petra Hryhorenka, 2 – KP “Kharkiv Palace of Sports”;
08:30 – 09:00 – setting up the venues, equipment setup, and judges’ meeting;
09:00 – start of competitions;
09:00 – 17:00 – final fights in all sections, awarding of competition winners.

3. Organization and management of the competition.
The European Championship of Cossack Fight is initiated by the World Cossack Fight Federation (hereinafter – WCFF) and the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation “Cossack Fight” (hereinafter – USFCF). The direct conduct of the competitions is entrusted to the WCFF and the main judges’ board, approved by the WCFF Presidium.
4. Preparation of sports facilities.
In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural events”:
– preparation of sports facilities is entrusted to their owners;
– control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of competitions is carried out by a working commission formed by the relevant regional administration.
The owner of the sports facility must submit an act to the working commission on the readiness of the facility for the competition no less than 4 hours before the start of the competition.
Failure to comply with the requirements provided for in this paragraph, which caused extraordinary circumstances during the competition, entails responsibility.
5. Participants of the competition.
5.1. Athletes of national teams are allowed to participate in the European Championship of Cossack Fight based on preliminary applications submitted by April 22, 2018, to the WCFF at vladibor72@gmail.com, ploxix111@rambler.ru
5.2. Each team with more than 10 athletes must have one judge at the expense of the sending organization.
5.3. All judges must have an accident insurance policy and a medical certificate.
5.4. The competitions are held according to the current international competition rules of Cossack Fight, approved by the WCFF and the Ministry.
5.5. All participants must have: a passport, an accident insurance policy, and MS, MSMK, ZMSU must also have a certificate;
5.6. The competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories, and sections:
Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);
Tan-dvobiy (technical duels, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);
Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand with limited contact, semi-contact analog);
Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand with light contact, light-contact analog);
Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand with light contact main, kick-light analog with low kick and throws);
Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand with light contact free, MMA Light analog);
Gerts-1 (hand-to-hand with real contact main, full-contact);
Gerts-2 (hand-to-hand with real contact main, K-1 analog with throws);
Gerts-3 (hand-to-hand with real contact free, MMA).

6. Financial conditions for the competition
The costs of organizing and conducting the competitions are covered by off-budget revenues. The costs of participating in the competitions are covered by the parties sending the athletes.
Entry fee for USFCF members: 450 UAH for adults, 350 UAH for juniors, youth, children. For the next section -50%
7.Awards.
Athletes who take 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the individual standings at the European Championship are awarded medals and diplomas of the Federation of the respective degrees.
Teams that take 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in the team standings at the European Championship are awarded cups and diplomas of the Federation of the respective degrees.
The team championship is determined by the sum of points scored in the above-mentioned types of competitions in the respective weight category.
8. Sportswear and equipment.
The clothing form for Cossack Fight – participants’ sportswear must correspond to the traditional form of Cossack Fight:
- sections “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Gerts-1” – sharovary, embroidered shirt, or club T-shirt (section “Gerts-1” for men with bare torso).
- sections “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Gerts-2”, “Gerts-3” – MMA shorts, rashguard or T-shirt (section “Gerts-2”, “Gerts-3” for men with bare torso).
Sports equipment and gear:
- sections “Zabava”, “Bornya-1”, “Gerts-1” – mouthguard, groin guard in a bandage, bandages (“Gerts-1” mandatory, “Zabava”, “Bornya-1” optional), gloves on hands (up to 9 years – 8 ounces, older – 10 ounces), foot protectors with closed heel, shin protection and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
- Sections “Bornya-2”, “Bornya-3”, “Gerts-2”, “Gerts-3” – mouthguard, groin guard in a bandage, bandages optional, gloves on hands – open, for MMA brand “maXmix” 6 ounces (licensed by WCFF), stockings with protection of the upper part of the foot and shin, helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In section “Gerts-3” helmet optional.

9. Applications
Preliminary applications for team participation in the competitions are submitted by April 22 2018 to the email vladibor72@gmail.com, ploxix111@rambler.ru
- each team representative must submit to the mandate commission a nominal application for athletes participating in the competitions, in the established form, with all points filled in, certified by the structural subdivisions of regional departments of physical culture and sports, structures that manage physical culture and sports in the respective countries, federations-representatives of WCFF in the respective countries.
- the sending organization’s nominal applications must be certified by a doctor of the physical culture and sports dispensary or a medical institution of the respective country.
Passports, classification books of athletes, insurance policy are submitted to the mandate commission of the competitions on the day of arrival.
