of the Ukraine Championship in Cossack Fight among adults, juniors, youth and children
1. Objectives and Tasks
The Ukraine Championship in Cossack Fight (hereinafter – Ukraine Championship) is held with the purpose of:
- broad involvement of the population in physical culture and sports;
- military-patriotic and sports education of young people;
- further development of the sport and its promotion in the country;
- improvement of athletes’ skill level;
- selection of the strongest athletes to the Ukrainian national team for participation in international competitions;
- activation of training and coaching work in sports organizations;
- summarizing the work of sports organizations;
- achievement of sports ranks in Cossack Fight according to ЭSKU.
2. Schedule and Venue of the Competition
The Ukraine Championship will be held October 13 − 16, 2017 at the Sports Complex of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the National Pedagogical University named after M. P. Dragomanov at: Kyiv,
Turgenev Street, 3/9.
3. Organization and Management of the Competition
The organization and conduct of the competition is managed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ukrainian Sports Federation “Cossack Fight”
(hereinafter – Federation).
Responsibility for the preparation and direct conduct of the Ukraine Championship is placed on the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Kyiv City State Administration and the Judging Panel, formed by the Federation, the composition of which is approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
4. Competitors
National teams of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, oblasts, and the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol are allowed to participate in the Ukraine Championship.
Team composition: unlimited.
Age categories of competitors:
adults (men or women) – 19 years and older.
Juniors – 16-18 years old;
Youth – 13-15 years old;
Youth – 10-12 years old;
Children – 7-9 years old.
Attire of competitors in accordance with the requirements of the Rules of Cossack Fight Sports Competitions (hereinafter − Rules).
Level of admission to competitions (by classification):
Adults – not lower than 1st degree;
Juniors, youth, children – not lower than 2nd degree
5. Character of the Event
Competition is individual-team, conducted in accordance with the Rules.
6. Program of Competitions
The Ukraine Championship will be held October 13 − 16, 2017 at the Sports Complex of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the National Pedagogical University named after M. P. Dragomanov at: Kyiv,
Turgenev Street, 3/9.
Competition program:
October 13 – Day of team arrival, day of participant registration:
14:00 – 18:00 team registration, weighing of participants, registration of judges;
18:00 – 19:00 – meeting of the Credentials and Medical Commission;
19:00 – 20:00 – meeting of the Judging Panel, judges’ seminar;
20:00 – 21:00 – official draw of participants with the participation of team representatives.
October 14– day of competition:
07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue;
08:30 – 09:00 – arrangement of sports grounds, equipment setup and judges’ briefing;
09:00 – start of competition
09:00 – 13:00 – preliminary performances in the “fight” sections;
13:00 – opening ceremony of the competition;
13:30 – 21:00 – continuation of preliminary performances, semifinal fights;
October 15 – day of competition:
07:00 – 08:30 – departure of teams from hotels to the competition venue;
08:30 – 09:00 – arrangement of sports grounds, equipment setup and judges’ briefing;
09:00 – start of competition, final fights in all sections, awarding of winners.

The Cossack Fight competition program includes the following types of competitions held in the respective age and weight categories, namely:
Ohotan (free and formal technical complexes);
Tan-fight (technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);
Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand with metered touch limited, analogue of semi-contact);
Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand with light touch limited, analogue of light-contact);
Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand with light touch main, analogue of kick-light with low kick and throws);
Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand with light touch free, analogue of MMA Light);
Gerts-1 (hand-to-hand with full contact main, full-contact);
Gerts-2 (hand-to-hand with full contact main, analogue of K-1 with throws);
Gerts-3 (hand-to-hand with full contact free, MMA).

7. Safety and Preparation of Venue
Preparation of the competition venue is carried out in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 18, 1998 No. 2025 “On the Procedure for Preparation of Sports Facilities and Other Specially Designated Places for the Conduct of Mass Sports and Cultural-Entertainment Events”.
8. Conditions for Determining Championship and Awarding Winners and Medalists
Athletes who placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the individual standings at the Ukraine Championship are awarded medals and diplomas of the Federation of the respective degrees.
Teams that placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the team standings at the Ukraine Championship are awarded trophies and diplomas of the Federation of the respective degrees.
Team championship is determined by the sum of points scored in the above-mentioned types of competitions in the respective weight category.
9. Conditions for Financing the Event and Material Support of Participants
Costs for organizing and conducting the Ukraine Championship are covered by the Federation.
Participation in the competition is at the expense of the sending organizations.
Starting charitable contribution per participant – 250 UAH.
10. Deadlines and Procedure for Submitting Applications to Participate in the Ukraine Championship
Preliminary applications for team participation in the Ukraine Championship should be sent no later than 7 days before the start of the competition to the Federation’s email address vladibor_@rambler.ru, contact phones: +38 097 954 52 09 – Radionov Volodymyr Anatolyovych; organizational questions +38 067 966 44 61 – Korniaka Oleksandr Volodymyrovych.
For participation in the competition, the following documents must be submitted to the Credentials Commission on the day of arrival: list of participants certified by stamp and signature of the leadership of structural divisions of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, oblasts, and the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, and by a doctor of a medical-physical culture dispensary, copy of passport, classification certificates, insurance policies (valid at the time of the competition), identification code.
Teams and participants who confirm their participation within the established time frame are allowed to compete.
This regulation is the official invitation to the competition.
