2. Venue and competition schedule.
The European Championship in Cossack Fighting is held according to the competition rules of the World Federation of Cossack Fighting (WCFF).
April 13 – Team arrival day;
April 14 – Athlete registration day from 11:00 to 18:00 at: Kharkiv, Marshal Zhukov Avenue, 2
Referees seminar – from 18:00 to 19:00; representatives meeting and draw – from 20:00 to 21:00;
April 15 –
10:00 — Start of competition, preliminary bouts;
17:00 — Opening ceremony, final bouts, awarding of winners;
18:00 – Final bouts in the “Gerts-3” (MMA) category;
April 16 – Team departure
3. Organization and management of competition.
The European Championship in Cossack Fighting is held by: the World Federation of Cossack Fighting (hereinafter – WFCF) and the public organization “Ukrainian Sports Federation ‘Cossack Fighting’” (hereinafter – USFSF). Direct conduct of the competition is entrusted to the WFCF and the main referee committee approved by the WFCF Presidium.
4. Preparation of sports facilities.
In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for preparation of sports facilities and other specially designated places for mass sporting and cultural-entertainment events”:
¨ preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;
¨ control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of competition is carried out by a working commission established by the relevant regional administration.
The owner of a sports facility is obliged to submit an act to the working commission no less than 4 hours before the start of competition confirming the readiness of the facility for competition.
Failure to meet the requirements of this clause that caused extraordinary circumstances during competition entails liability.
5. Competition participants.
The European Championship in Cossack Fighting admits athletes from national teams of countries based on previously submitted applications by April 10, 2016, to the address of WFCF (vladibor_@rambler.ru).
5.2. Each team whose composition exceeds 10 athletes must have one referee at the expense of the sending organization.
5.3. All referees must pass a referee seminar, have accident insurance and a medical certificate.
5.4. Competition is conducted in accordance with current international rules for Cossack Fighting approved by WFCF.
5.5. All participants must have: a passport, accident insurance;
5.6. Competition is held in the following age groups, weight categories and categories:

Ohotan(free and formal technical forms);
Tan-fighting(technical bouts, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);
Zabava-1(hand-to-hand with controlled touch limited, semi-contact analog);
Bornya-1(hand-to-hand with light touch limited, light-contact analog);
Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand with light touch main, kick-light with lowkick and throws analog)
Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand with light touch free, MMALight analog)
Gerts-1 (hand-to-hand with full contact main, full-contact);
Gerts-2 (hand-to-hand with full contact main, K-1 with throws, sanda analog);
Gerts-3 (hand-to-hand with full contact free, MMA)

6. Financial conditions of competition
Partial costs for organizing and conducting competition are provided through charitable funds and other extra-budgetary revenues attracted by the Federations, and charitable entry fees.
Entry fee for USFSF athletes – 250 UAH (children and juniors), 350 UAH (adults)
7. Awards
Athletes who placed:
1st place — are awarded medals and diplomas of respective degrees.
2nd — 3rd place — are awarded medals and diplomas of respective degrees.
8. Sports attire and equipment
Sports outfit for Cossack Fighting – athlete sports attire must correspond to the traditional Cossack Fighting uniform (sharovary, vyshyvanka, or club T-shirt). In the Gerts-3, Bornya-3 category – MMA shorts.
Sports equipment and protective gear – mouthguard, groin shell in protective supporter, bandages, hand gloves (10 ounces), for Gerts-2, 3, Bornya-2, 3 categories open gloves for mixed martial arts (6 ounces “maxmix”), foot protection, shin guards and helmet, for women and girls chest protection. In Gerts-3 helmet is optional.
9. Applications
Preliminary applications for team participation in competition are submitted by April 10, 2016 to the email address vladibor_@rambler.ru
- Each team representative must submit to the mandates commission a personal application for athletes participating in competition, of established form, with all items completed, certified by structural units of regional departments of physical culture and sports.
- Personal applications must be certified by a physician and the sending organization.
Passports, athlete classification books, and insurance certificates are submitted to the mandates commission on the day of arrival.
