for conducting
International Cossack Fight Tournament “PRIDE-2016“
among children, youth, juniors and adults
Date of competition: February 18-19, 2016
Place of competition: Lutsk
1. Objectives and Goals:
The International Cossack Fight Tournament “PRIDE – 2016” among children, youth, juniors and adults is held in order to:
– promote and further develop the sport of “Cossack Fight” in Volyn region, Ukraine and abroad;
– promote patriotic education of youth;
– improve the level of athletes and referees;
– further improve training and sports work in sports clubs and sections at the place of residence;
– select promising athletes for forming the national team of Ukraine in Cossack Fight to participate in international competitions;
2. Schedule, venue and competition program:
The International Cossack Fight Tournament “PRIDE – 2016” among children, youth, juniors and adults is held according to the rules of competition of the World Federation of Cossack Fight (WCFF). Competitions are held using an Olympic system with elimination after the first loss. By decision of the main refereeing board, in certain weight categories with a small number of participants, the competition system may be changed to a round-robin format.
February 18:
During the day – Team arrival;
19:00-21:00 – Official weigh-in at the address:
Lutsk, Shopen Street 22 (VOLYN AGRO PROJECT – 1st floor: gymnasium of ШБГ “Gerts”);
February 19:
07:30-09:00 – re-weigh participants, meeting of representatives and draw at the address: Lutsk, Shopen Street 22 (VOLYN AGRO PROJECT – 1st floor: gymnasium of ШБГ “Gerts”);
09:15 – centralized departure of participants from the weigh-in location to the competition venue (Lutsk, Sukhomlynskyi Street 1, Shopping Center “PortCity”)
09:45-10:15 – briefing of competitors on safety rules and conduct in the shopping center;
10:30-11:45 – preliminary bouts;
12:00-12:45 – solemn opening ceremony of the competition, exhibition matches;
13:00-18:00 – bouts;
18:15-19:00 – awarding of athletes in age groups 10-12 and 13-15 years,
exhibition matches;
19:30-21:30 – evening gala program of finals of age groups 16-18 and over 19 years;
21:45 – closing of the competition and team departure.
3. Organization and management of competition:
The International Cossack Fight Tournament “PRIDE – 2016” among children, youth, juniors and adults is held by: the World Federation of Cossack Fight (hereinafter – WFCF), Public Association “Ukrainian Sports Federation for Cossack Fight” (hereinafter – USFSF) and the official representative of the Public Association “Ukrainian Sports Federation for Cossack Fight” in Volyn region – Volyn Regional Club of Martial Arts “Pride” (hereinafter – VRCMA “Pride”). Direct conduct of the competition is entrusted to VRCMA “Pride” and the main refereeing board approved by the Presidium of WFCF.
4. Preparation of sports facilities:
In accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 2025 from December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially appropriate places for conducting mass sports and cultural-entertainment events”:
¨ preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;
¨ control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of the competition is carried out by a working commission established by the respective regional administration.
The owner of a sports facility must submit a report to the working commission at least 4 hours before the start of the competition confirming the facility’s readiness for conducting the competition. Non-compliance with the requirements of this clause that caused the emergence of emergency circumstances during the competition entails liability.
5. Competition participants.
5.1. To the International Cossack Fight Tournament “PRIDE – 2016” among children, youth, juniors and adults, athletes of national teams, regional teams and clubs are admitted on the basis of previously submitted applications by February 10, 2016, to the email address of VRCMA “Pride” (sambo70kulakov@mail.ru).
5.2. Each team whose composition exceeds 10 athletes must necessarily have one referee at the expense of the sending organization.
5.3. Competitions are held in accordance with the current international rules of Cossack Fight competitions approved by WFCF and the Ministry.
5.4. All participants must have: passport or birth certificate, accident insurance policy and medical clearance.
5.5. Competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories and divisions:
COSSACK FIGHT
Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand with light contact limited, analog light contact kickboxing) – among participants of age groups 10-12, 13-15 years;
Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand with light contact main, analog kick-lite with low kicks and throws) – among participants 10-12, 13-15 years;
Bornya-3 (hand-to-hand with light contact free, analog MMA Light)– among participants 16-18 years;
Gerts-3 (hand-to-hand with full contact free, MMA) – among participants over 19 years
Weight categories
Bornya 1, Bornya 2
Children (10-12 years) up to 35 kg, up to 40 kg, up to 45 kg, up to 50 kg, over 50 kg
Youth (13-15 years) up to 50 kg, up to 55 kg, up to 60 kg, up to 65 kg, over 65 kg
Bornya 3
Juniors (16-18 years) up to 60 kg, up to 65 kg, up to 70 kg, up to 75 kg, over 75 kg
Gerts 3
Men (over 19 years) up to 60 kg, up to 65.8 kg, up to 70.3 kg, up to 77.1 kg, up to 84 kg, over 93 kg
6. Financial conditions of the competition
Costs for organizing and conducting the competition are provided from charitable funds and other non-budgetary sources, charitable entry fees. Costs for the travel of participants, coaches and team representatives (transportation, meals, daily allowances, accommodation and maintenance of wages) are covered by the sending organizations. Charitable entry fee for athletes in age groups 10-12, 13-15 years – 80 UAH (children and youth). For athletes in age groups 16-18 and over 19 years – 100 UAH. Charitable entry fees must be transferred to the current account of the Volyn Regional Club of Martial Arts (VRCMA) “Pride” No. 26008055509091, OKPO 40085493, MFO 303440 PRIVATBANK, or provided during weighing to the credentials commission.
7. Awards
Competition is individual. Places in each age group and weight category are determined as follows:
1st place – taken by the finalist winner;
2nd place – the one who lost in the final;
3rd place – two participants who lost bouts in the semi-finals.
Athletes of age groups 10-12, 13-15 and 16-18 years, who took:
I places — are awarded prizes, medals and diplomas of appropriate degrees.
II — III places — are awarded medals and diplomas of appropriate degrees.
Athletes of age group over 19 years, who took:
I places in the evening gala program of finals – are awarded monetary prizes, medals and diplomas of appropriate degrees.
II — III places — are awarded medals and diplomas of appropriate degrees.
By decision of the main refereeing board, individual athletes may be recognized for best technical preparation and will to win.
8. Sports attire and equipment
Sports attire for Cossack Fight – the sports attire of participants must correspond to the traditional attire of Cossack Fight (cossack pants, embroidered shirt or shorts or pants, team t-shirt).
Sports equipment and protective gear:
For participants in the Bornya-1 division: mouthguard, groin protector in a jock, hand wraps (optional), hand gloves (boxing – 10 oz), shin guards, headgear. For participants in the Bornya-2 division: mouthguard, groin protector in a jock, hand wraps (optional), hand gloves (for hand-to-hand – at least 8 oz), shin guards, headgear.
For participants in the Bornya-3 division: mouthguard, groin protector in a jock, hand wraps (optional), hand gloves (for hand-to-hand – at least 8 oz), shin guards (optional), headgear.
For participants in the Gerts-3 division: mouthguard, groin protector in a jock, hand wraps (optional), hand gloves (for MMA – at least 4 oz), shin guards (optional), headgear (optional), MMA shorts.
9. Applications
Preliminary applications for team participation in the competition are submitted by February 10, 2016 to the email address (sambo70kulakov@mail.ru).
Each team representative must submit a named application for athletes in the prescribed form to the credentials commission, certified by the head of the structural division dealing with physical culture and sports of the regional administration and the head of the organization or regional branch. Additionally, in the application opposite each participant, there must be a signature of a sports medicine physician (certified with a seal) confirming clearance for competition, as well as the total number of participants cleared for competition based on health status, which is also certified by the physician’s signature and sealed.
Passports (birth certificates), athlete classification books, insurance policies are submitted to the credentials commission of the competition on the day of arrival.
