REGULATIONS
for the conduct of
International Festival of Combat Sports
Within the framework of the festival:
MMА World Cup (WMMAF)
European Championship in Cossack Fight (WCFF)
(adults, juniors, cadets, children)
April 14-18, 2015
Lviv


1. Objectives and Goals.
The International Festival of Combat Sports is held with the aim of:
— promoting and further developing MMA and the “Cossack Fight” sport in Ukraine and the World;
— improving the level of athletes and referees;
— further improving educational and training work in sports schools, youth sports centers, sports clubs and sections in the places of residence;
— selecting promising athletes for forming the Ukrainian national team in Cossack Fight and MMA for participation in international competitions;
— awarding sports titles in Cossack Fight according to the unified sports classification of Ukraine;

2. Time, Place and Competition Program.
The International Festival of Combat Sports is held according to the rules of the World MMA Federation (WMMAF) and the World Cossack Fight Federation (WCFF) respectively.
April 14 – teams arrival day;
April 15 – athlete registration day from 16.00 to 20.00 at the address: Lviv, Melnyka St., 18
Referee seminar – from 18.00 to 19.00; meeting of representatives and draw – from 18.00 to 19.00;
April 16 –
10:00 start of competitions, qualifying matches;
18:00 Opening ceremony, continuation of qualifying matches;
April 17 –
10:00 final matches among children and juniors, awarding of winners;
19:00 gala program, final MMA Elite matches, awarding of winners.

3. Organization and Management of Competitions.
Conduct of the MMA World Cup is carried out by: the World MMA Federation and the MMA Federation of Ukraine.
Conduct of the European Championship in Cossack Fight is carried out by: the World Federation of Cossack Fight (hereinafter – WFCF) and the NGO “Ukrainian Sports Federation ‘Cossack Fight’” (hereinafter – USFSF). Direct conduct of the competitions is entrusted to the WFCF and the main referee board approved by the Presidency of the WFCF.

4. Preparation of Sports Facilities.
In accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 2025 of December 18, 1998 “On the procedure for preparing sports facilities and other specially designated places for holding mass sports and cultural and entertainment events”:
• preparation of sports facilities is the responsibility of their owners;
• control over the preparation of sports facilities and ensuring the safety of competitions is carried out by a working commission formed by the respective regional administration.

The owner of a sports facility must submit an act to the working commission no later than 4 hours before the start of competitions confirming the readiness of the facility for holding competitions.
Failure to comply with the requirements of this section, which became the cause of extraordinary circumstances during the conduct of competitions, entails liability.

5. Competition Participants.
Athletes from national teams of countries are admitted to the European Championship in Cossack Fight on the basis of previously submitted applications by April 5, 2015, to the address of the WFCF (vladibor_@rambler.ru). National teams are admitted to the MMA World Cup on the basis of previously submitted applications by April 5, 2015, to the address egenia@voliacable.com

5.2. Each team with a roster exceeding 10 athletes must have one referee at the expense of the sending organization.

5.3. All referees must have accident insurance and a medical certificate.

5.4. Competitions are held according to the current international rules for Cossack Fight and MMA competitions, approved by the Federations and the Ministry.

5.5. All participants must have: a passport, accident insurance, and MS, MSMC, ZMSU holders must have certificates;
5.6. Competitions are held in the following age groups, weight categories and sections:
COSSACK FIGHT
Odnotan (free and formal technical complexes);
Tan-dvoboy (technical matches, demonstration of self-defense techniques, self-defense);
Zabava-1 (hand-to-hand combat with measured touch limited, similar to semi-contact);
Bornya-1 (hand-to-hand combat with light touch limited, similar to light-contact);
Bornya-2 (hand-to-hand combat with light touch main, similar to kick-light with low kicks and throws)
Bornya-3 (according to age groups and weight categories MMA Light)
Herts-1 (hand-to-hand combat with true touch main, full-contact);
Herts-2 (hand-to-hand combat with true touch main, similar to K-1 with throws);
Herts-3 (according to age groups and weight categories MMA Elites)

6. Financial Terms of Competitions
Partial expenses for organizing and conducting competitions are provided at the expense of the charitable fund and other extra-budgetary revenues attracted by the Federations, charitable contributions, and starting fees of participants.
Charitable starting fee for Ukrainian athletes (members of USFSF):
150 UAH for juniors, cadets, children.
350 UAH for adults.
Charitable starting fee for other participants is equivalent to 50 euros.
7. Awards
Athletes who placed:
I place — are awarded medals and diplomas of corresponding degrees.
II — III place — are awarded medals and diplomas of corresponding degrees.

8. Sports Uniform and Equipment
Uniform for Cossack Fight – the sports uniform of participants must correspond to the traditional uniform of Cossack Fight (cossack trousers, embroidered shirt, or club t-shirt).
Sports equipment and protective gear – mouthguard, groin protector in bandage, hand wraps, gloves (10 oz), for Herts and Bornya-2 sections open gloves for mixed martial arts (6 oz “maxmix”), foot protection, shin guards and helmet, for women and girls chest protection.
Uniform for MMA – the sports uniform and equipment of participants must correspond to the traditional MMA uniform (WMMAF).

9. Applications
Preliminary applications for team participation in competitions must be submitted by April 5, 2015, to the email addresses vladibor_@rambler.ru and egenia@voliacable.com
• Each team representative must provide to the credentials committee a named entry list of athletes participating in competitions, in the established format, with all sections completed, certified by the structural subdivisions of regional departments of physical culture and sports.
• Named entry lists must be certified by a doctor of a sports medicine clinic and the sending organization.
Passports, classification books of athletes, and accident insurance must be submitted to the credentials committee of the competitions on the day of arrival.
