August 20-23 in Feodosia will host the “Open Cup of Ukraine” in the Ukrainian national mixed martial art — “Kozatskyi Dvoboy”. In addition to Ukrainian teams, teams from Russia and Azerbaijan will participate in the competition. We present to your attention the competition regulations:

1. Goals and objectives.
• Development and popularization of Ukrainian national martial art, the sport “Kozatskyi Dvoboy” and MMA in the world;
• Promotion of a healthy lifestyle under the slogan “Peace for the children of the planet – A world without drugs”
• Improvement of athletes’ skill level;
• Development and strengthening of friendly relations between sports organizations of all countries in the world;
2. Schedule and venue.
Competitions are held from August 20 to 23, 2013 in the city of Feodosia (Ukraine, Republic of Crimea)
August 20 – arrival day, registration and weigh-in of athletes from 12:00 to 18:00 at the address: Simferopol Highway, 27.

09:00 – preliminary bouts;
12:00 – official opening, continuation of preliminary bouts;
August 22
09:00 – semifinals in all categories, finals, awards ceremony
August 23 – team departure.

3. Competition management.
General management of competition organization is undertaken by the World Federation of “Kozatskyi Dvoboy” (WCFF), MMA Federation of Ukraine. Direct conduct of the tournament is entrusted to the chief arbitration panel and the competition organizing committee.
4. Competition rules and arbitration panel.
Competitions are conducted in accordance with current international rules for “Kozatskyi Dvoboy” (WCFF). The arbitration panel is formed from referees recommended by participating teams. All referees must attend the seminar on August 20 and based on its results will be allowed to work in the competition.
5. Competition program and participants.
Teams from regions, cities and clubs of CIS countries and the world are admitted to compete.
Competitions are held in the following categories:
“Zabava” — controlled contact with stop (analogous to semi-contact);
“Bornia -2” — controlled contact (kick-light) without stop, low-kick and clinch throws allowed;
“Hertz -2” — full contact, low-kick, knee strike, clinch throws allowed (shoot-fighting, K-1);
“Hertz – 3” — (MMA);
“Odnotan” — solo compositions;
“Tan dvoboy” — self-defense

6. Competition financing.
All expenses related to conducting the competition are covered by organizers and charitable entry fees (entry fee 100 UAH).
Expenses related to team travel, accommodation and meals of participants, coaches and referees are borne by the sending organizations.
7. Participant awards.
Athletes who placed 1st are awarded diplomas and medals. Athletes who placed 2nd – diplomas and medals, 3rd place – diplomas and medals.
The best athletes of the competition will be awarded valuable prizes.
The winning team is awarded a cup.
8. Entries.
Competition participants must have an identity document, fighter’s passport, insurance policy, named entries signed by a doctor of a sports medicine clinic, certified with stamps, which are submitted to the credentials commission on the day of arrival.
